I’ve walked 12.5km’s worth of routes, and have not seen a single cell. The fact you found one is very lucky.

Not rare. Mine show up near the end of the route typically. I usually get 2 if it shows up, and they say you can only earn 3 per day. Never found a 3rd in a single day though

I hope they make route creation available to more people soon. I live in a smaller town with many landmarks but few active players and I already created about 80% of the new pokéstops here for the past few years. Of course, we don't have any routes yet and I also don't have access to creating them, so I just feel stuck. The nearest city with an active playerbase is also a 3 hour drive away, so going there to grind is not exactly feasible either.

ATTENTION BEFORE YOU CREATE ROUTES IN RURAL AREAS: If you only have two stops, then do more of what Dax did. Create loops. Don't walk straight from one stop to the other. I bet there will be benefits for longer routes. And I bet, as for Stops, once a route is existing it will be harder/impossible to get another one accepted.

I wonder if there’s a chance that we can somehow affect the odds to get MORE Cells. Since Zygarde is a Dragon/Ground Type Pokémon, I wonder if having a Mega active of either type will affect the cell count for each glowing orb (obviously berries are out of the question, because you can’t really “encounter” these Zygarde cells)

You forgot to toss on your daily incense or any kind of incense while on the route because they are much more effective while on routes and therefore if use the daily incense on one then you're more likely to encounter a galarian bird.

I said I can't do them too often. I don't have a raid group in my town anymore after Remote Raid Passes became a thing and although, yes I could do smaller tier Raids, The rewards and Pokemon are hardly worth driving/walking to. Thus, I don't raid too often and I don't spend money on the game, I rely on Gym earned coins that I currently use to increase Storage rather than for passes.

Sadly, it’s not level based. I’m almost level 50 and I do not have access to create any Routes yet my brother, who is level 47 has access to it. He has had access for a month and a half. Those that got to trial the route system are the only ones able to still make routes currently in the routes that are up right now or put there by the people that trial this starting in June.

Routes are unavailable still in a surprisingly large amount of places. Like, I live in one of the biggest cities on the west coast. Just a few blocks from the best place to play PoGo in the state. Not only are there no routes, you also cannot create them yet. I hope they roll this on our pretty fast.

ive done routes quite a lot and havent seen a cell, or better yet, didnt know what the hell i was looking for. in hindsight, ive probably passed a million of them, oy UPDATE EDIT: OK so, today i finally got a bloody cell. they look so... like, if you arent paying attention, you are missing it. they are small and have a little aura around them. totally blend in. i made it a mission today to focus on the route. and i found one. brutal. god knows how many ive missed. especially with any windy effects and weather boosted pokemon. i hope they make them more obvious.

in my location there are not any routes but also you cannot create new ones - checked with dozen of ppl and this option is simply not available (regardless of lvl - checked up to 50lvls) :| Which makes the Zygarde task and below thing from Blaze New Trails as complete joke. "2/3 distance to earn Buddy Candy while exploring Routes with your buddy"

I have submitted four routes. I found it to be a bit buggy. I was walking in a straight line and it curved off to the side, into someone's house. I do wonder if they will be approved and if so how long it will be. There are no routes around here so hopefully at least one will get approved.

To hopefully use it for the Great League, I do not get how trading affects CP and does the person trade the pokemon back? sorry if these questions seem a bit redundant just tryna learn the nuance of the Go mechanics.

@hawkathan So when you trade pomemon the ivs get re rolled so therfore the cp changes. Once you trade a pokemon that particular one you've traded cannot be traded ever again. Only transfered or moved to pokemon home. As for getting the cp in the range for great league (1500 or less) you would usually wanna trade with a good friend or a great friend as the iv floor with trading at that friendship level would be set at a min 1/1/1(7%) or 2/2/2(13%) Ultra friends iv floor is set at 3/3/3(20%) and best friends are 5/5/5(33%) Basically you wanna trade it to hopefully be able to get the ivs low enough to where the cp doesn't exceed the cap set for the league. Typically this means shooting for the lowest possible attack iv stat to be able to keep the cp low but still be able to power/level it up enough to keep up with the competition.. You also wanna use this strategy on most legendaries to re roll the ivs and the the cp low enough to qualify for the great league. Most common are like tapu fini and cressalia Unfortunately the re roll is 100% random so it could get risky depending on how many you have to trade you only get one shot for each pokemon you trade away. Hope that helps and isn't too confusing lol

I’m sorry to say this but, for one, catching one of the route exclusive pokemon spawns takes one of your three possible cell spawns, so if u caught three route exclusive Pokémon in one route, you wouldn’t get any cells, and two, you have to walk different routes to get cells, if you walk down a route you’ve already walked down, it won’t give you any cells
