Hi @Kerry2smooth do you prefer 11s, 10s, or 9s on your electric guitars? I know its personal preference but I have a heavy hand when it comes to playing so I switched to 11s from 9s. I like it because I feel like there is lower action and I can almost control my attack better, but at the cost of tiring my hands out faster. What do you prefer?

This is another awesome video Maestro. It is truly a rabbit hole. We can discuss strings and guages, tube vs solid state amps, solid vs hollow body, neck materials, pick types and thicknesses, active vs passive pickups, etc, etc, etc.... Everything you mention is on point, as always...but the biggest point you make is that your tone comes from your hands.

Как же меня вдоновляют эти видео. Картинка на последних видео просто огонь! Добирусь до дома, подбиру риф, на котором ты показывал разницу в звуке звукоснимателей)

A Zoom G3n, even today, is a great multifx pedal that sounds great, is relatively intuitive to use and cheap.

Nice video (as usual). The one other aspect of sound is the tone knobs, especially on the guitars with two tone knobs. Blending them when using multiple pickup locations definitely can make a difference👊🏼.

Pickups: dont change until you get familiar with the ones on your instrument. Before changing them you can adjust their height (distance from strings) and also dont be scared to experiment with your guitar's pots to see how adjusting them changes the guitars tone.

speaking of tone, Kerry likes slap back delay on his youtube videos 😅

Hi Kerry! Absolutely love your new video format with the response to questions. I feel stuck at learning how to add riffs in between chords, which is key in RnB. What would be your tips on this? Thanks!

Id suggest you also add some chorus if you want to make the sound more lush.. tremolo instead of chorus is also a nice touch, just try and see if you like... and for all in pedals that arent to expensive but very decent for live/studio are the Boss GT series; you might find a used one for 100 bucks. Its got all the things he mentioned, and also a pickup simulator: this means even if your guitar has a different pickup setup than his (or wicherever one you want) you can set it in the pedal and the pedal wil mimic it.. cool feature in wich i can make for example a les paul sound like a fender strat or vice versa.

Hey sir! Thank you for this one! And ya, like you said, you can make any pick ups sound amazing! Question: you never mentioned a wah pedal. Do you use one? Or do you have a wah dialed into your board? And if you did use one, do have a brand pref?

The neck pickup has that warm sound, but what pickup do you typically choose for a rhythm part needs to fit into the mix?

what do you think makes a great riff? like if you were in the studio with summer walker and she asks you to play an 8-16 bar loop what is your thought process for creating one

You're right, you don't have a lot of tech knowledge. If you did you'd know that the amp affects tone more than anything else and you spent no time on that here.
