Hmm, I never really thought of it, when getting your first few business cards, will they typically be soft pulls? I just always assumed soft. Good tip about having a relationship with the bank first prior to applying for the card, Chase being fairly relationship heavy I hear. Great video Chase man!

Lol so far i haven't inspired chase on the credit limit subject. I think being my first year they stayed conservative. My first card I projected revenue and expenses. Second card I had a better idea. Both monthly use of the card I showed higher and corresponding revenue I showed higher Both true and second card arrived with same low CL. It's easier now with a second card but I have charged payed off and recharged almost a second amount to the CL in the same month. It would have been easier if they believed me on my second application. My second card they also wanted proof of my EIN. Just to add. The uber driver in your example could be paying gas, insurance, and have the vehicle at the dealer to do breaks and have the AC fixed. At the same time that gig driver could also be paying estimated quarterly taxes to the irs and his states dept of revenue. Pretty easy to add up.

Funny, I just closed my single business card I got in 2001. At that time most of my income was 1099 and I was incorporated. Now everything is W2, no need for that card. In 2001 I had two personal cards with probably $5,000 of credit limits, today it’s north of $50,000. Why get more cards with high annual fees?

5/24 rule was not a factor for my approval for Chase business credit card.
