Well done Lewis! I would also recommend to rent a car as you can see many things in a single day and besides that it gives you a sense of freedom and adventure on this special island as you discover it by yourself. Streets may be steep in some occacions, but doable and outside of Funchal there is almost no traffic, so you can take your time. Still have to try this cable car though!

@@SebastianDaniec We had the choice of 3 restaurants in the Nuns Valley who offered charging while we dined at no cost. Also gave us time to explore the village on foot. Lots of regenerative braking on our descent back into Funchal after the thru mountain tunnel

Renting a car seems to be no good option for average drivers... Very scary extremely steep and narrow roads! Don't want to get trapped in one of them😱
