you will have some marks on your inner lips from the braces, also put wax on the pointy part where its hurting you, if they don't give you wax then tell your othodontist that its hurting they should always ask you if its poking you but ye he will twist it or he will cut it off

They’re retainers. Once the teeth are moved into their final position they tend to want to go back. However now you don’t have to force them through bone and instead you just need to keep them where they are, so braces and a wire are not necessary and you can move onto retainers which are removable and are to be used either as long as possible (ideally the rest of your life) in order to keep a perfect smile, or if you don’t mind a bit of teeth shifting, long enough for the bone to solidify around the teeth’s final position.

DO NOT WEAR DOUBLE THE RUBBER BANDS. This will mess up your teeth greatly and can apply to much pressure on your teeth which can mess up your plan and make it take longer to get them off. Gum massages help.
