Your review is a good review and I am sure people want to give it a try. I did too. But in reality, the product gets way too hot. It does not get switched off, even it is not being used. The connection to iPhone CarPlay is glitchy.

My curiosity is how do they integrate or work with hands free phone calls. Do the calls go through the units? Microphones?

Great review thanks. I have the Pro Max and agree that the user interface isn’t very intuitive. I’ve not managed to work out how to display the dashcam and navigation and /or music on a split screen mode - can you advise please?

so how did u attach the camera too the back can i ask? can i also ask how u connected the camera wires to the rear tail lights? ive ordered one with the cam and im curios as to how to do it :)

How would this compare to a Carpuride? I'm considering getting one of these things to add CarPlay to my car, but I've read conflicting reports about response lag and future firmware support

Can the backup camera stay on all the time or just works when you back up?

You tap into the reverse light power wire so that it comes on when you put your car in reverse. If you wire into a different circuit that is always on when the car is turned on, then I expect it would continuously display the rear view. I’ve heard that some reversing cameras can overheat when you do this since the manufacturer does expect it to be used for more than a few seconds.

I just received the CarPlay promax. A bit confusing setting it up and I’m not done with it. One of the issues I have is that I tend to play AM talk radio in my truck, is there no way to set this up to receive a.m. radio?

I think you need an Radio FM app on your phone in order to play radio on the tablet through your car speakers. Think of it as only a FM modulator for the car.

What has your experience been with how this device handles phone calls? I've asked all over Facebook and Instagram, but my question keeps getting deleted. Does it use the built in mic for handsfree calls?

Do these devices also support WIRED Apple CarPlay? I am not a fan of the delays when using wireless CarPlay and would much prefer wired.

Good question. I do not believe they do wired CarPlay, unfortunately
