Hey guys! Could you possibly make a video on barber talk? By that I mean how to properly ask for what you want? I'm so pissed off, I was growing a decentish beard, I asked for JUST a shape up around the neck and to trim the mustache hairs away from my lips. I ended up with a cheek line that went way to far down to the jaw, a neck line that basically made me look like I had a goatee... I thought I was clear enough?

I second that for head hair. I told in my last visit, that I want to grow out all my hair and get rid of the length difference between the top and the sides and back so I asked for a cleanup of the edges and evening out the length difference. And what happened was, that at first, the clippers chopped off 3 cm of my grown out back, untill I realized what was happening, it was too late. I was happy with that barber up to thar appointment. But when I asked, how I could have expredded better, what I wanted, I got the reply, "It looks good, though, as it turned out, dont you think? " I lost three months of growth, though, and that is not what I wanted.

Maybe it is the words we chose, they can be ambiguous, or it is the interpretation of the one hearing your words. There are so many fuzzy things going on in communicating. Godd thing about our "hair situation" is, that they will grow again and we can get a fresh start on getting it done right again. SO, you will probably do no shave November now, I guess.

There seems to be a trend for really high necklines at the moment. I see many men sporting them and this cant be coincidence. They go right up to the mandibular line and I personally don't like the look of it as well as the low angular cheeklines, that many seem to have at the moment.

I recently had a quick 5 minute haircut by a place near my house - rushed in an out, her not listening to what I said and misinterpreting a video I brought even though I clearly told her what I'd wanted. It wasn't awful, the haircut itself was okay, it just wasn't what I wanted. Watching Mahesh work is so refreshing. It's been ages since I've had a barber/hair stylist that cares so much about their work that they keep going in to clean up and fix slight imperfections that you'll never see yourself because they have pride in their work. There isn't an actual barber in the Vancouver, Canada area that I'd trust, tbh, it makes me look like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo with months of put-off hair appointments between visits because I'm worried about what'll happen. Makes me wish I had the means to travel out to the UK - you lot seem to have a lot of good, old-school barbers from what I've seen. That said, if anyone could point me in the right direction in my neck of the woods, it'd be appreciated. :P
