Good video but just a couple of points from this Canadian who was one of the first to receive the FNV way back in 2012. (And yes, the process was much easier back then: no corporation to set up and the total cost was only $3,000 all-in!) Firstly, just because you have legal residency doesn't mean you are entitled to work there. Instead, it entitles you to "apply" for a work permit, which, back then, cost $600. And if. you misplace it, to replace it would cost another $600. But it is a separate application; i.e., it's not automatically awarded to you just because you are a resident. Second point ... one stipulation when getting the Panama citizenship is the renouncement of all previous citizenship(s). Who in their right mind would ever choose to give up a Tier 1 Passport like Canada, EU or UK for a Class B passport from Panama? If you want a second passport by naturalization you really need to look to countries that allow their citizens to have dual citizenship. Places in LATAM include: Mexico, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. I would never want to give up either my Canadian or British passport for anything. Rather, acquire 2nd, 3rd and Nth citizenships through countries that allow dual/multiple citizenship instead. Now, if Panama ever became one of those countries ... by all means go for it. But until they do, there is no WAAAAY I'm getting rid of either my Canadian or British passports / citizenships!
