What is an 'updated marriage license' and why would the 'original' not suffice? Just trying to avoid problems when applying for our visa.

I’ve been doing extensive research preparing myself to transition. Thank you so much for sharing. I am going to be moving to Panama in 10 years (or sooner). I’m in my 40s currently, but in 10 years by then I will be in my 50s and my two daughters will be adults (in their early 20s).. I used to travel to Panama when I was a kid and I always loved it. I want to go back and live there this time. It’s so beautiful. Panama looks so much like Florida. My only fear of living in Panama is not speaking the language (even though people swear I’m Hispanic because of my complexion and my hair, but I am not Hispanic) LOL. I’m from Jamaica (but grew up in Florida) and I don’t speak Spanish. I will do the Friendly Nations option $200k property investment. I sew and I wonder if I can sew in Panama start a Sewing business in Panama?🤔 JM

So where does Social Security fit in here? Is it considered a government pension?

Yes, social security is considered as pension in Panama. Someone asked the same question in the audience and the lady said it's acceptable.

As for a clean police record. Is that referring to convictions only? What if someone has a arrest only record as a teenager 50 years ago? Would immigration accept that? Great video. Thanks
@albaptist3385
@albaptist3385 6 ай бұрын
It's case by case. One would have to present the FBI Criminal Record to the immigration attorney for the appropriate answer.

Because I have always lived in a similar weather, I don't see this is a big issue, although certainly a point to be stressed. That being said, depending on air conditioning has never been a problem to me, just like it's not a problem needing the heating for people living in colder regions.

Bonjour, si je comprends bien, une option mix d'investissement entre immo et compte à terme pour un montant total de 300k€ entre les deux, permettrait d'obtenir la résidence permanente immédiate ? C'est bien cela svp ?

How in the heck do you get an FBI report? 😂..... Do you get 6 months automatically when traveling in? Who does tours? Anything for a regular working American? Most of us dont have 200,000 laying around.
@angelstar7656
@angelstar7656 16 күн бұрын
An FBI report is a criminal history background check. Anybody can get one. People most often get them when they start a new job, when they're working with kids, and people can request them on their own for various reasons. Just Google getting a criminal history background check. Btw, if you work for a small company and have a good relationship with your HR person or the staff member that does the hiring paperwork, ask them if they can give you the information for running a background check. Or ask them if they can run a background check for you. Companies which do a lot of hiring usually have subscription to the system so that they don't have to pay for each background check which could be costly for them.

Btw, there are various groups that offer relocation tours...black expats in Panama and Panama relocation tours are the two I follow although there are others. Also, your docs need to be authenticated; the process for doing that in the USA is the apostille process. A notary public who provides this service can tell you more about it.

@@LFG22124 Usually, you hear something unusual about a country ahead of time if you follow the expat/slow travel space. Not only do you NOT hear anything distinctive about it (positive or negative), you still don't even AFTER researching it! It reminds me of the American cities like Dallas, Atlanta, or San Diego.
