I just recently found you on instagram and youtube, YOU ARE A GODSEND! I'm currently shifting careers to become a freelancer and your videos and ig posts help me a lot! They're very concise and valuable for someone also wanting to go in this journey. I'm currently still building my portfolio and consolidating past artworks (i'm an architect but i wanna shift careers haha) so I'm nowhere near getting clients since I'm still figuring things out. I just wanna ask tho, I'm scared because I'm not sure if clients would actually book me especially since I don't know the current asking fees for design services. Can you give tips on how you came up with your fees and how do you know if you're being lowballed or not? Again, GREAT CHANNEL!

@muhammad-galani2 жыл бұрын
There is no fixed rate it depends on the experience, time and monthly expensives of a person you need to know your worth and how much confident you are with your skills The second factor is client's location, Is it a company or individual, is their product cheap or expensive ask these questions to clients and try to predict what rates they would pay and you can charge I honestly don't recommend to compete with price or lowball your rates just to get clients you know there are clients who will happily pay or even give bonuses if you are skilled and professional
@stephigarta42832 жыл бұрын
@@muhammad-galani Thanks for this! This is so helpful! Do you have any recommendations what would be a good rate for a beginner?
@muhammad-galani2 жыл бұрын
@@stephigarta4283 Your welcome and I think as a beginner you can charge 15$-25$ per graphic with time you can try to increase your rate and if some projects are really premium you can charge even more of course depending on the clients budget

Hello Kuya Mike! I'm so glad to discover your videos! If I may ask, did you always have good creativity for designing? Because I get stressed out a lot that my mind is always empty and would take the whole day to think of something. I am actually just starting to learn graphic designing and previously was working as a Chef for 3 years and even took a diploma on it. I hate that you have to work 12hrs a day and cant spend time with your family on public holidays. Anyways Love your content and love to read the comments & answers. It already answered some of my questions. Love from Malaysia ✌🏻

Hi David. I would say I think I'm creatively inclined. Don;t stress yourself out because creativity can be trained, you just have to expose to yourself to good designs. In fact, I cringe when I check my works when I was starting out. This means that over time, my taste and standards for great design has improved. Also, when your mind feels empty, you have to look for inspiration to get you started. Best of luck to you
