Hey John! This video helps a lot of newbies to skyrocket their business. Such a valuable content, I must say. May you continue creating content like this. Here's what we want to add, which is not yet popular in the cleaning industry. Another way to generate massive list of leads is through location targeting. There are two steps to successfully do this. First, by using a USPS Address Lookup. Since you are targeting commercial clients, business districts are a great choice. You can generate addresses of commercial establishments in a specific area by typing in the street name. That will show all valid addresses in that area, which you can append (second step) to generate the name, phone number, and email address of the person attached to the address. The data you can generate through these method can be used to contact potential clients and have them noticed you. Hope this helps! :)

Most important is to find out what your COST is to do the business. Then charge more than that. When you're starting out though, that can be hard. But add up all your business costs and divide that by how many clients you serviced during that period. Another method (but not the only method) is to call your competitors and see what they charge. But be careful with that. Don't try to beat their prices. They may be going out of business soon...you don't want to follow them.

Walk thru figure your time frame and what you'd pay someone labor wise then double that, figure the cost of all your supplies and if,they are delivered or not, figure in,your time to get them and fuel costs now double that cost, add the 2 together and you should be on point, if your new you can lower your profit margin but be careful

Without it, you are putting yourself up for liability. By the way, check with the CPA in your state. In some states, LLC is better and then others escort is better. If you don't have this insurance, you were putting yourself up personally to be sued.

The VERY best way to get customers in a dense city such as Toronto is to.....read THE ULTIMATE SALES MACHINE, PEOPLE BUY YOU and FANATICAL PROSPECTING. You want to build a high degree of familiarity but smartly (without being a royal pain in the ass). A combo of telemarketing and dropping in work best. Just be smart and you will get better over time. I went from zero to a lot of customers in three short years. This takes time but it works. Never be pushy and arrogant since the competition is fierce and they have a choice. The key lies in THE FOLLOW UP! Read The ultimately sales machines how this is done. And, contrary to what the guys here says, you do NOT have to offer any discount. Just read and grow rich!

Great video John. I have a question, though. So I’m 19 and me and my father just started a carpet cleaning business. The past 15 years my father has worked as a general cleaning janitor for big hospitals. We just started our carpet cleaning company and we have been able to land 3 hospital clinics through the boss that has given us general cleaning jobs in the past, but they are under sub contract. You need to start with one client on the side and just keep getting another one and another one so on so forth. You want to do this all while maintaining your regular job, work afternoons weekends etc, until you have maxed out your work schedule and you cannot take one anymore work, when you are at that point all you need is a ton of work that you are too busy to take on and that’s how you know it’s time to quit your regular job! And congratulations you can go independent

I'd totally spend a small budget on an attention getting sales letter sequence. Then I'd call them. Then I'd visit them. Rinse and repeat.
