You don't always have to get compliments to know your fragrance smells good or is working. In fact you just have to be in the moment and pay attention to your surroundings. People's reaction and how they treat you will give you hints that they like your fragrance or its working. For example if a girl greets you right away or is smiling at you even though she does not even know you she probably like your scent, which is just as good as a compliment, but the more people you interact with the more likely your bound to get compliments, but just because you don't get compliments does not necessarily mean your fragrance sucks.

You're exactly right. Compliments may not always be verbal. Certain signals and behaviours can easily be a non verbal compliment.

I'm a fairly good looking guy (pointed out mainly by girls + and some guys lol, even girls i do not know randomly when im out and about) but i've got to be honest that it always got me irritated when fragrance reviewers be it on youtube or fragrance discussion sites/forums pointed out how a fragrance gave them 100+ compliments from strangers on a night out etc... i'm sorry but MOST are talking out of their ass (sorry for my choice of word). There are tons of good looking woman that you see every day, imagine they hearing how good they look *in person* around 100 times, sorry but that ain't really. If i smell something that is nice i don't compliment everyone not to mention a stranger on the street. You rather enjoy what you smell without telling how good it is. Same for every beautifull woman you see, you don't come up to every single one and tell them how good they look, right? And that's the truth. Also a fragrance is more of a addition to help you elevate your persona, your appereance, your whole image. If you lack certain things do not expect a fragrance to do the rest of that job. My Tip on Spray Area: INSIDE ELBOWS are my favorite spots for my daily wear now; especially for strong frag to avoid headache and nausea. The spots still help scent to project well and protect juice from water and from frictions with objects other than my own skin.

I always say I have braggers rights. In 55 years not one compliment and I now have 97 frags. Not even family 👍😂. I wear what I want when I want and I never gave or give compliments much of a thought so it’s the least of my worries but I’m happy for you that get compliments.

I never got any compliments on my fragrance until I got Creed Aventus. Crazy stuff. Female barkeepers asking me what I'm wearing, people purposely getting closer to me when talking to them and I hear people sniffing when I walk by. As I said, crazy. I love it!

I've worn it 6 times and no compliments yet. Suavage is my most complimented scent and it's kinda similar to Aventus so I'm still optimistic

Tankado I agree. Aventus is virtually the only Fragenace that has gotten me compliments. Personally, I don’t even like the scent, it’s not bad but it doesn’t blow me away. However there’s something about Aventus that gets you compliments. Maybe it just carries well in the air and doesn’t smell like men’s locker room deodorant (which a lot of designer fragrances do)

Not getting compliments isn't necessarily a bad thing is it? Or it doesn't mean anyone doesnt smell your cologne? Some people like something at times but really dont tell you. Or that may be your not applying enough and they dont even smell it. Or last but not least they just dont like the smell or either your choking them out. I dont know..lol.. But i dont always get compliments and it does bother me at times. The anxiety of thinking whats wrong and why! Lol.. It really does!

Hi Joshua, you're absolutely right, it's not all about getting compliments. First and foremost wear something you love. Unsolicited compliments are pretty rare. I'm sure people are enjoying your fragrances but just aren't confident enough to mention it. Just enjoy wearing what you love and if you get a compliment it's a nice bonus!

Great job on the video, really informative.I agree regarding receiving compliments from complete strangers, especially in the uk where the closest I have come to getting one, is a stranger behind me in a queue muttering how something smells really nice.Also I have found Jojoba oil works quite well too in locking the fragrance on your skin especially when applied soon after a wash.

Yes I think fewer compliments are given in the uk. If I smell something I like or recognise I love to give a stranger a compliment. It would make my day so it's nice to do that for someone else. Glad you liked the vid! 👍

Yes it's true, I bought the NEW 1 million Lucky and I really like it. Still not sure yet on performance even though I can smell it for a while. Also 3 weeks back was using Le Male, but I never get compliments. Only at work I could feel those positive vibes for the like of the fragrance I was wearing when with work colleagues. Iam surprised on You tube how many times I hear Jean Paul Gautier mentioned, but I feel it's too oldschool and would rather settle with Paco Rabanne. When I uploaded a picture of the NEW 1 million Lucky on facebook I got much more likes then when I uploaded a picture of Le Male or Paco Rabannes Ultraviolet. Iam confused now, but really enjoying the NEW 1 Million.

Great summary. I think you probably get an amazing number of compliments when you are accessorized by your daughters. If you feel good wearing a fragrance, it usually gets you a compliment.

Nice tips. But one thing I always notice is that when I'm well groomed and with a good attire the compliments are way more easy to come. That and wearing Aventus...lol. Keep up the awesome job brother, you will get 300 subs in a blink of an eye.

absolutely i see people say 2-3 sprays of a particular fragrance and they get 10 hours and 3 hours projection ...never heard such shit ,these days im up around the 6-8 spray mark and sometimes more even then it dosent project like back in the day or how i want it too ......its not overdoing it or my own nose blindness i actively ask the wife or people next to me in the car even at those sprays im definitely not "cologne guy" lol back in the day a couple of sprays and you could sense something radiating off you

True. With vintages, a few sprays will get you noticed all day Performance was superb. Today u can spray 20 times and it will be a skin scent before the hour. What a bunch of crap these perfume houses are churning out today. They dont care. All they want is money. I think a lot of people have noticed this because anytime i go to a dept store, the fragrance section is always empty

Me too. I have not bought cologne in over two years and i love them but i see no point in spending so much money on something that people around me are not going to smell after a short time. The whole point of using fragrance is to smell nice for a good amount of time

amazing no one needed tips with kouros or polo green etc back in the 80s and 90s two sprays anywhere would radiate off you all night ,through the club and the sweat and it was still going in the pub on sunday dinner .......none of us gave a fuck about pulse points, skin chemistry ,moisturisers or layering stuff ,it just worked difference was they didnt sell us scented piss water in a bottle ...the fragrances had some body to them

Hi I have a problem? I don't like spraying perfume on my skin because of the toxic chemicals. I also want people to be able to smell the perfume on me so I put it on my clothes. Plus I usally don't show any skin when going outside. But I have heard spraying perfume on clothes doesn't allow the perfume to evolve so it is a waste. Unless that perfume is designed for clothes too. What should I do? If I spray it on my skin no one will smell it because of my long sleeve shirts, if I spray it on my clothes it doesn't evolve so it is a waste? What should I do? What makes a perfume suitable for clothes cause I have heard some perfumes can evolve from top notes to base etc.. If so how would you make it.

Hi Tim, if you spray your clothes people will still pick up your scent. It may develop slightly differently but I'd say it's still worth it. Your body heat may still reach the fragrance through your shirt so you might get some evolution of the scent 👍

I increasingly try and spray my hair only, for those reasons. And I've usually got some hair product on my hair that I reckon will provide some protection. But in any case I'd rather mess my hair up slightly by spraying, than my overall health by having it absorb through my skin. When I started using fragrance (and post shaving and moisturizing products) in earnest I started to realise how much of this stuff my skin was exposed to. I will sometimes still spray twice on my neck of I want to be sure of smelling something myself. But most of the time now it's hair only
