U doing it right but no too right at the same time, u need to condition and wash your hair out first, then add moister to ur hair, leave it from like 5 to 10 minutes, then u could consider using some gell after, hope this helps u out bro

Well that’s what i do but for idk your hair type if you got looser curls then me you can just spray water in the morning to refresh , for conditioner i use adwoa conditioning styler
