​@@Ryhzen So when you plug your headset into your computer your headset does not have a notification asking for permission? (Just trying to make sure I understand what you are saying). And instead it tries to open the Meta Link app for playing PCVR? If so, make sure you have developer mode enabled. You need to enable it in the Meta Horizon app on your phone/tablet I believe, and possibly also on the headset, I am not sure. If you are sure you do, then try a different USB port/cable, and try restarting your headset and computer.

@mellom5429 Yes. I turned on developer mode, plugged the USB cable into my laptop and installed mods. ModsBeforeFriday downgrades the game for you and all you gotta do is just click download on the mods you want and it installs it right into the game just like that.

Finally lucky enough to get a Quest 3! Setup wasn't as easy as before. It was difficult to get the debug popup to work, but thankfully the troubleshooting guide explained that I needed to install some drivers!

Great info for a parent setting this up for his child, with no knowledge of modding. Took longer to find a USB C cable that allow data transmission than it did to set up the modding. 15 minutes total on the Quest 2, the meta app on my iPhone, and a laptop.

I did a slightly more complicated method, but installed too many mods and the game would crash all the time 😆 I reduced the amount of mods and now it's pretty stable. BTW Better Song Search is nicer to browse through songs to download because it gives you an audible preview that the other song downloader does not. Also, a lot of mod options will be in a new section called Mod Settings when you hit the Settings button (cog wheel on main menu). I was surprised to see even Twitch integrations! The only things I miss is the Camera2 and Cinema mods, which I imagine would be too much for the Quest 3 to handle on its own.

The only problem I had with this modding process was that it downgraded it to v1.37 with no way to change it and that means you can’t upload easy offset or saber tailor mods because they currently have no mod for that version. Which can be a big problem because if you want to play seriously you need custom settings for your controllers to get better accuracy.

Connect your headset to a PC and search the device for a song name. Locate that folder and that will help you find the folder with all the songs. Copy those song folders

I modded beat saber like 8 months ago, and haven't updated it since then. Now every time I enter bmf in my quest 2 and sync it with the game a bunch of tabs of "failed update" pop up. I can normally download songs however I don't know if I should update to latest version of bmf or not.
