Great video. But are you sure they 'ship you a physical visa'? I thought they just emailed the visa to you and then you print it off?
@ZachusTravelАй бұрын
You are right, back when I made this they were saying they were going to ship cards, but that changed or didn't come to life. I'm working on an updated video. I just got approved and there's been a lot of new info coming out. It is a eVisa and you get a stamp in your passport when you enter the country after approval. Thanks for watching.

Just to confirm if you apply and it gets denied based on the soft power choice you make you can use re apply with a different soft power info .. and you dont have to pay again. Ive read a few forums etc but I just want to be sure. Thanks.

If you are out right denied then yes you'll have to pay again. Most of the time they come back to you and let you change it or clarify it. Most are getting approved. Just be sure to use a legit soft power location

First of all, great content and valuable information-much appreciated! Secondly, does anyone know how to meet the proof of funds requirement (500,000 THB) on a bank statement if I haven’t had this amount in my account for the past six months? If I transfer the funds a few weeks before applying, would that be acceptable? I realize it’s not ideal, but it’s the best I can manage for now. I have all the other required documents, and they meet the criteria. What would be your best advice on this? Thank you!
@ZachusTravel24 күн бұрын
Some Embassy are not requiring more than 1 month and others are just validating that 500K baht is in there ($14K USD). Others like UK, USA are asking for more stuff. From what I've seen Jakarta, Vietnam, Hong Kong have all been pretty easy. Honestly I would say it needs to be in the account for at least 30 days otherwise your statement will not reflect it. If you have a tight timeline to go to Thailand, go on a Tourist Visa for 60 days (upon arrival), bring all your stuff with you and then jump down or over to another close by country and apply online or in person (all though most have gone to online only eVisa). I'm sorry I don't have better news but with the $400 application fee, I don't want you to lose that and waste your time. At minimum you need 1 month bank statement with that money and all the other stuff. I would join the DTV Facebook Group. A lot of great testimonies in there of where to go to get through fast and easy. Thanks for watching, hope this helps

@@ZachusTravel Man! Thanks so much for your thoughtful, kind, and precise answer, sparing no time. It really helped a lot. In the meantime, I got in touch with the Thai embassy where I would submit my application online, and they also said something similar to what you mentioned-that it’s enough if the amount has been in the account for one month and that the final balance should be visible. But it's worth being certain about this, because, as you pointed out, I’ve heard from many places that each embassy has different rules. It would have been disappointing if my application failed because of this, as I have all the other documents ready. So thank you once again for your response, and I think you made one of the best videos on the DTV topic! Thanks for your hard work, and wishing you continued success with your channel! :)

Got my DTV visa today 👍🏻 . A quick question: How it works for a dependent? I believe the spouse/dependent visa will remain valid till my DTV expires….Or are we supposed to renew the dependent visa yearly? For how many days can a dependent accompany the main DTV visa holder in Thailand?
@ZachusTravelАй бұрын
Congrats 🎉🎊 Now that you are approved your spouse has to apply separately for a DTV. There's a place in the application to apply as a spouse. You'll need to submit proof of marriage.

H ey! Does it work with common law spouse or will I have to marry my long term partner to get his along with my DTV?
@ZachusTravel2 күн бұрын
Unfortunately Thailand will require you to be married legally or you'll both have to apply separately and show you both have $14k USD in the bank. If both your names are on the account, then it might work but it's a risk of loosing the application fee and having to start over.
@positivevibes24682 күн бұрын

As long as you can move you have a business, money, LLC if possible, proof of how you make money you should be good. You may also want to do soft power like an accredited language class, Thai boxing, Thai cooking. You'll pay in advance like 6 months and sit that along with everything else. This could also be a backup plan.
@jamielebrun84682 ай бұрын
@@ZachusTravel thanks for the reply . I'll be in the UK in Nov and plan to apply day 1 when arriving, don't have an LLC as never needed one. Noted on Muay Thai , have started to get that ball rolling and am totally fine signing up for 6 months versus gaining a 5 year visa , my issue with this latter part is the lack of accredited schools where i live in Chiang Rai ! Driving to CM each week to do 1 hr class is not really an option but could be done if needs be . I actually planned to start doing Muaythai anyways so not a big deal signing up :) Will update when back in the UK if i got DTV or not !

After getting a DTV visa, how does a spouse travel with the DTV holder?
@ZachusTravel2 ай бұрын
Your spouse must submit a separate application for a DTV and pay a separate visa fee. Each person must hold it. You can also get Dependents a DTV but each need to apply or you apply for them. Must prove you are legally married, submit proof with visa application if using the same 500K baht bank statements to prove that requirement. Hope this helps.

@ZachusTravel27 күн бұрын
No it's free to come and go but if you extend in country to 360 it's $10k baht ($297 USD). Most won't need this as a boarder run is cheap and easy

Hi thanks for the info! Question...is the $14k deposit in USD bank account per person? I'm a family of 3(husband, 10 year old and myself)? Upon reentry, how long do you have to stay away before returning?
@ZachusTravel3 күн бұрын
From what I've seen it's per family. Get your husband to apply first and get approved then you apply for yours and kids attached to his. You'll all be issued a Visa though. You can leave and come right back in. Some do it in hours some stay out a day or 2. I'm actually here now in Phuket Thailand 😎 good luck.. Let me know if I can help.

I have about 300k THB in my bank account and solid proof of sponsorship that shows they have the rest (and more), and they didn't approve the visa. The one I spoke to almost flat out said they don't care about sponsors, they want YOU to have the money

DTV clearly states it cannot be sponsored, borrowed etc. If they suspect this, they can request multiple months of bank statements. Sorry...
