I use the Rover app to find clients. Also, when I am around the neighborhood/Park I always say hi to the dog and owner. They normally will ask me questions about my dog. I always tell them it’s not mines, i walk dogs for a living. Then it opens up a whole conversation about them being interested in my services. I’m meeting a client tomorrow to talk about walking his dog because he’s going to have foot surgery and will be out 4-6 weeks. He wants 5 days a week at $35 and hour.

Hi! I’m a year or two away from retirement and I would love to stay active and have some sort of income. I love dogs and was considering being a dog walker. My question is will I be able to get clients due to my age? At the moment I am a 63 year old male and pretty strong. canvassing is basically the only alternative without internet use, or knock on dog owners doors or talk to them when they pass by. but canvassing is the best because it isn’t intrusive.
