If anyone is struggling, actually catching it when I appeared I used a quick ball and it worked. I tried getting it down to low health and capturing it like normal but it didn’t work.

I've done this trick for the pokedex multiple times and has worked. Decided to do a fun team this time and I want drifbloon on it, I beat the second gym(last weekend) got the bike and set time for next Thursday at 11:59pm in the building... waited until it changed to Friday and can't get him. Am I missing a prerequisite?

I just tried this and it didn’t work, so I feel I need some clarification. I’ve beaten Mars (haven’t reached the second gym yet as I want to grab this before going there) and all, so I feel I’ve done the prerequisites for it. I’ve been trying a few times today unsuccessfully and I tried your method and it didn’t work, either. I followed your steps (I feel) exactly, but I’m clearly missing something. Is the issue that I’ve been “time-travelling” already today? Heck, I tried to get it a couple of days back unsuccessfully, so I tried to “account for” the time lock by setting the day to Wednesday as I could get locked for a day and then still get the Pokémon, but that didn’t work, either.

So, I ran into drifloon purely on accident without knowing about it appearing on Friday. I saved my game. And went shiny hunting. Instead of reloading the game, I ran. Went into building and saw autosave still on. FML. Went back out, drifloon no longer there. Tried this hack, and it doesn't seem to work for me. Send help.
