Apparently the Shiny Charm change is intentional, they didn’t want people to use it with chaining. Still annoying though.

wait, does matching local versions after deleting a newer one not cause the required version flag on that console to stay the same or did you actually do this to get the version back? iirc horizon OS has a check that keeps track of the newest game patch the console had installed, and FORCES a user to redownload that patch before playing a game again if its not present

Looking at the Japanese name, it's spelled Aruseusu ( アルセウス ). With localisation lots of information is missing and some studios (especially for Pokémon worldwide) won't care to double check some little details like this.

Nowadays, all recent Pokemon games are released rushed, broken, and unpolished. I am not that surprised. Although, I am sad that there is no new dup glitch for BDSP, or I haven't heard of it yet. 😢

Probably the worst offense in this game is the GTS just straight up being blocked off by an NPC until a patch came out because they didn't finish it. I'd let that one slide in a vacuum, but it's been a trend in their games lately.

I encountered an NPC glitch within Brilliant Diamond a while back when the game was still new-ish, I’m not sure if they managed to patch it out or not but I have uploaded it to my channel if you’d like to take a look and make an updated video including that specific glitch by all means go ahead ☺️

I have the 001 physical copy of BD but it still requires me to update it, i also dont want to factory reset my switch since i have lots of progress in my other pokemon games(completed pokedexes with tons of transfered/traded mons). Guess i'll move on

I held onto my Apricorn Balls from my Switch Lite from the Amazon Bundle on Ver 1.1.1 on cartridge. I put my friends cartridge on my game and I didn't realize the cartridge gets updated alongside the software itself, and I'm getting a forced update to version 1.3.0. and now I can no longer preserve my Apricorn Balls and clone them. All that effort and money gone to waste :( Is there any fix to go back and not have a forced update? My game file has 1 Apricorn Ball each. I really hated that they locked the Apricorn Ball Bundle behind ONLY ONE paywall and a $120 paywall at that :/ I'm really sad :( Thanks for the video!

Here's one that you never mentionned espicially since it's still the case with SwSh and SV: *Pokémon Egg Shiny Roll bug* When breeding, if any personality value rerolls are applied, (such as the additional shiny rolls provided via the Masuda method or Shiny Charm), the initial roll to generate a personality value is skipped. The result is that when breeding using the Shiny Charm alone, it only provides 2 total rolls for the personality value, meaning there is approximately a 2/4096 (equal to 1/2048) chance of hatching a Shiny Pokémon. This is a reduction from prior generations where the initial roll and both rerolls are accounted for, which would provide a shiny rate of 3/4096, (approximately 1/1365). When using the Masuda method alone, despite the Masuda method being intended to provide 7 total rolls (1 initial roll, and 6 rerolls) (equal to 1/585) which is 1 more reroll than prior generations, it is reduced to 6 rolls total (no initial roll, 6 rerolls), effectively canceling out the additional reroll and providing a 6/4096, (approximately 1/683), chance of hatching a Shiny Pokémon as usual. However, as of Generation VIII, due to the Masuda method providing one more reroll than in previous generations, the chance of hatching a Shiny Pokémon when using both the Shiny Charm and Masuda method is unchanged, providing 8 total rolls, (instead of the intended 9 for a Shiny rate of 9/4096 (equal to 1/455)), for a Shiny rate of 8/4096 (equal to 1/512) as usual.

Another way of downgrading is to use a hacked Switch, uninstall the update files and then install the 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 update specifically

I have the one with 000, so if I delete the update like u said the version changes to 1.0.0 but then I cant play the cartridge before I update… so whats the point? Or am I missing something?

Im getting a microsd card to maybe fix this. If you transfer your saved data onto the sd card, factory reset and delete data on your switch, you should be able to bypass this. Mind trying, my sd card comes in 2 days

@@bigboi7446 You can't back up Switch saves to an SD card unless your Switch is hacked, Pokemon games can't be backed up regardless, and either way, this won't work. The save is probably made to be incompatible with older versions. The only possibility of getting it to work would be via a hacked Switch.

This was probably my favorite era of being a part of the Pokémon community simply for the fact that there were so many glitches. But you actually had to try somewhat to get them to work. So the entire community was fighting back against I LCA. Whenever they'd patch the games to fix some of the glitches the Community would instantly start looking for new menu glitches.

@@konnor2588 Hey, you should hover over the icon for the game on the switch menu and press (+) plus to bring up the information. It should say a version number at the top. If it's on 1.3.0, then it's already on the newest version (No glitches). But if it's on anything else (preferably 1.1.1) you can just launch the game, and if a popup appears saying "update available", just select "start software"

@konnor2588 Good to hear, unfortunately no I don’t have any for 1.0.0 specifically. Some of the ones shown in my 1.1.1 video might work on it, but not 100% sure. there are likely some videos out there on them though!

I have the 1.0.0 version cart and recently when I tried to play the game again this message popped up and I updated it. Didn't know about the patch to the duplication glitch which I was able to do back then. Now when it's finish downloading I'm stuck with 1.3.0. I have the cart 1.0.0. Doesn't look like I can bypass the download update
