One of the best interview I have seen in a while. Uncovering some great tips and tricks to the problems I go against every Sunday as a sound tech. Thanks a lot for the video!

Dear Lord, please make all drummers think that way! And maybe include all guitarists and bassists as well. Thank you! 🙏🏻

great video. something worth noting is to definitely check with the sound guy before doing stuff like changing the snare or cymbals or tuning the toms or moving mics. at my church we’ve spent months trying to dial in the perfect snare snare sound so we have tons of extra processing based around our specific snare and snare tuning. and we also tune the toms to what works best with the songs, so even if they doesn’t sound perfectly ideal on their own they fit into the mix better because they’re in key with the songs

Do you have any discussions on how to tune and set up the toms and bass drum? We have too much ringing in ours and they are off-key with the music to the point that it's grating...

Only when I encounter a drummer that plays with finesse. Which is rare, but it happens sometimes.

You guys have drums in the drummer's in-ears?!? I play drums and don't have anything - I can hear them with my headphones in regardless!?!...
