Muslim-majority Indonesia might not seem like it has a deep tradition of homemade booze. But, in reality, the country has been getting wasted on locally made brews for centuries. Vice’s Indonesia team travelled out to North Sulawesi, a deeply Christian region, to figure out how farmers were turning palm tree sap into a potent, and fiery, liquor called Cap Tikus.
