Seitan for me! I make a big batch of seitan chicken Pattie’s 1-2 times a month. Use them in soups, Asian stir fries, pasta dishes, etc.

4 tables spoon of lentils has 10 g of protein. I prefer legumes and quinoa. A cup of quinoa has more protein than rice and half a cup of beans has more protein than regular rice and less carbs. I only eat rice for certain recipes. I eat all types of plant based proteins except seitan cause I'm allergic to wheat 😢 but everything else like tofu love it!

HI- Question for you-- I am an autoimmune gal so no oats, grains, beans, pasta, rice, etc. I am not Vegan so I eat eggs. My stomah doesn't do well with Pea or Whey, so the only protein I can handle is Hemp or Collagen. Been loading up on Tofu, Peanut Butter and of all things Quorn. Make Hemp, Pumpkin Seed burgers-- Any other suggestions to upping the protein?

I have a love-hate relationship with Seitan. I feel like it has a 25% chance of not working when I cook it. Even the same recipes I've been making forever.there is nothing more frustrating than a double batch of seitan that's raw or tough.💔 favorite protein for me is tofu and protein powder. Both are super convenient and reliable. ❤

Purple Carrot meals look delicious. Natalie, I gotta say, you look beautiful. You're glowing ✨️ Also, thanks for sharing your recipes 💕💕💕 Edit: tofu is my favorite ❤ i want to like tempeh, I really do but it's always bitter. Ive tried boiling ahead and then discard the water and then cook with seasonings or sauces. Ive also tried marinating overnight but it's still bitter. Also tried switching brands. Idk

Agreed, tofu and vital wheat gluten! I know vital wheat gluten is what seitan is made from, but I prefer to use it in other recipes like your bagels or mug cake. Such a versatile ingredient!
