Every time a stray cat spawns in a village it should have a low chance to be a fox instead. This makes sense b/c a village is the kind of place a fox might hang around. Also, foxes are adorable and you will never take them away from me :)

since husks' whole thing is that they give you the hunger effect when they hit you, maybe they could add a brewable hunger potion to the game? maybe its made by putting rotten flesh in the brewing stand. then if you splash a regular zombie with a hunger potion it'll starve and then convert into a husk like how it drowns and converts into a drowned. plus i feel like some of the effects in the game that dont have them already need potion variants, so it would be a nice step in the right direction on that.

Husks should be able to breathe sand (no suffocation damage, similar to how drowned can breathe underwater) and be able to manuever in 3 dimensions throughout sand (ie, they can step down a block of sand, step up a block of sand, and move through a block of sand). This would give them a vex-like zone of attack, without the freeflying movement of vexes. Similar ability should also be given to regular zombies with regards to dirt. This would need to be adjusted a bit, like perhaps they can move freely through dirt, coarse dirt, and maybe rooted dirt but they couldn't move through grass, mycelium, podzol, or path blocks (all these would be too packed or firm to get through). Strays could also benefit from this change with regards to snow, but they would need to emerge into an open space and have line of sight in order to shoot anything. Assuming such functionality appears, it might also be nice to have a beast-type threat that can move through stone in similar fashion...but because of the new caving I suppose that could wildly backfire and fill up the world with entities (unintended masses of mob drops). That would go well with the vex (otherworldly/villager-based) and phantom (fliers).

In version 20w14∞ you can catch a fish mob, guardian, elder guardian or squid when fishing. I hope they re-implement this feature with a lower chance, and some requirements such as needing a high level of lure (so a new player doesn't get unlucky by fishing once and having an elder guardian spawn on them. Re-implementing this would solve 3 problems, it would make these 4 mobs obtainable in Superflat, eliminate AFK fishing (which Mojang seems to be attempting with the recent fishing nerf) as a guardian will eventually be caught and kill you when AFK, as well as make sponges renewable (now the feature also benefits non-Superflat players.

Another possibilty would be the ability to fish up prismarine shards and crystals as well as sponges. You still wouldn't be able to get guardian-specific advancements (monsters hunted, and how did we get and possibly others) but it would make a little more sense. Either implementation would be amazing though because it would make prismarine and sponges easier to get without having to venture super far for a monument.

-Parrot: Can spawn on top of jungle leaves or they can be summoned to dance with a jukebox -Fox: Foxes are scavengers, so they could spawn in abandoned villages, scavenging what remains -Polar Bear: Spawn on snow / ice blocks -Panda: Are summoned when bamboo forests get really thick -Guardian: Pufferfish struck by lightning -Elder Guardian: After a very long time, guardians will age into elder guardians -Husk: Similar to skeletons freezing in powdered snow, zombies can suffocate in quicksand, which is crafted from sand and a water bucket, or they just spawn on sand

it'd be cute if parrots had a chance to spawn in ship wrecks. Like a one time spawn when you generate that chunk that has the shipwreck in it. idk if Shipwrecks spawn on super flat but it'd be cool.

Or maybe make it so that There's a 1% chance that jungle trees will spawn with parrots so that will add another use to the wandering Trader because you'll be able to get saplings then those parrots

Some ideas I got for getting some things that are unobtainable in Classic Flat that could be added into the game without adding new blocks: 1. Placing Blue Ice above a Dripstone setup could force it to drip down snow, which without a cauldron would deposit into snow layers, but with cauldron would let you get Powder Snow instead. 2. Lightning Rods, when struck by lightning and placed directly on Wool, could convert Yellow Wool into Sponge, Gray Wool into Deepslate, and Cyan Wool into Prismarine. This is based on the idea that in Minecraft, lightning is somewhat magical (proven by the mob transformations that it can do) and lightning rods end up being a "harness" for that energy (proven by the de-oxidization effect that they can provide when struck). Maybe this "Lightning Alchemy" idea could be expanded to Grass, turning it into Mycelium, as well as other wool colors for things that are already obtainable, like Red Wool into Netherrack, maybe Blue Wool into Block of Lapis Lazuli if game balance isn't much of a concern there. 3. Soul Sand Bubble Column blocks, when adjacent to a block of Blue Ice and also directly below some Powder Snow, could turn into regular Ice after a while. 4. Maybe if Drowned get hit by lightning (through either Channeling, Lightning Rods, or just getting lucky with natural lightning strike placement) and are killed by it, they have a 10% chance of dropping a Heart of the Sea instead of their normal loot table (but will still drop normal loot table if the 10% chance isn't rolled). This would allow for Conduits to be obtainable, and also wouldn't mess with the regular Drowned loot table. 5. Tridents could be made craftable using a Lightning Rod, a Heart of the Sea, and 3 Prismarine Shards in the shape of a Pickaxe. While this on its own wouldn't make Tridents obtainable in Classic Flat, adding a way to get Prismarine Shards that's compatible with CF along with Idea 4 would. Overall, I don't think it's likely that these would be added into the main game (especially the case for Lightning Alchemy), but would be cool ideas for being implemented into a Forge/Fabric mod, server plugin, or (if possible) vanilla datapack.

For the lightning 100 be nice if lightning rods oxidize over time that's like copper that they're made of and then those oxidized lightning will turn those mobs into other mobs and those blocks into other blocks

Zombies should be converted to husks if they die of suffocation on sand. Kinda like skeletons in powders snows or zombies drowning

It’s already so crazy what you can obtain in superflat with next to nothing so having every mob obtainable would help unlock almost every item in the game!

Just for Info: all 4 comments you showed in the beginning are wrong. Converted Zombies don’t have tridents anymore (got patched in 1.14), Salmon only spawns in a pool in the sky when its above a river or ocean. The wandering trader never traded bamboo and bonemealing a coralblock doesn‘t produce more corals

I might be wrong but converted Drowneds can drop tridents even if they don't have a trident in their main hand in Bedrock ofc.

Can I say, I love your videos. Especially this Superflat idea, it's so unique and amazing, it reminds me of legacy consoles and the different quirks it has. I just love the silly and unusual ways you would have to get items than the normal way. And your builds are quality, it's really awesome and I can't believe you spent so long on this world, it's brilliant! Keep it up and I can't wait for the next videos! 😎

Before I get into some of my ideas, just wanted to thank you for having one of my comments in your video, that really made my day. I feel bad that I totally forgot to sub while I've been binging your videos, but I have resolved that issue now. Wolves: Werewolves would be interesting, they could have a chance spawn on full moons only, incentivizing you to either sleep to avoid the increased danger or to stay up for the chance of finding one. The curing was a bit of a stretch though. Another way you could obtain wolves could be that they spawn in villages similar to how cats spawn. Maybe Mojang could even add dogs as a separate mob all together. Maybe have a mechanic to convert dogs to wolves if you feed them too much raw meat instead of cooked meat (if they're not already tamed). Or just go the lazy route and give sheep herds a chance to (unluckily) spawn with 1 wolf. Pandas: I like the idea of pillagers having a random mob in a cage. You could also give panda's a (very low) chance to spawn when bamboo successfully grows, provided there's a valid spawning space and room next to the bamboo. That way compact bamboo farms don't get filled with pandas. Squid: This is a bit of a stretch but what if you could shoot a glow squid with a tipped arrow of blindness. They would have to be obtainable but I've always found it weird that a fermented spider eye converts Night Vision pots into Invis Pots when the inverted version of NV would logically be Blindness. Foxes: I like the idea of them spawning near sweetberry bushes. Maybe have the same mechanic as my panda suggestion where they would have a chance to spawn when a sweetberry successfully grows. Only make it so they have to be in a cold area (so y:256+) and can't spawn inside the bush directly. Guardians: (Not Elders) Not a very creative idea here, but imagine a mob spawner dungeon, but made of prismarine based blocks instead of mossy and regular cobblestone, flooded and with a spawner for guardians. The spawner would have a tag (or something) that sets the valid spawnable block to water (similar to pig spawners needing grass).

@@Mogswamp Thanks! I've always been of the opinion that if something is in a game, it should be obtainable with enough effort. However, shortly after posting that comment I realized that Dungeons don't spawn in Superflat worlds. So while it would be a cool feature in a normal world, it wouldn't have any effect on SF. So I did some thinking and came up with possibly a better solution. What if the Elder Guardian was a summonable boss? And similar to the Wither breaking blocks when damaged, would instead spawn normal Guardians and Drowned Zombies around it when it took damage? The spawning mechanic would be similar to a spawner, where if there are X amount of Guardians or Drowned Zombies nearby, then no more will be spawned. Now armed with a way to summon the Elder, the Heart of the Sea could be added to it's loot table, making Conduits and Tridents obtainable as well. The summoning bit is a bit scuff at the moment because it's hard to com up with a method that feels Vanilla. The only thing I can think of is that *most* Ocean items are purchasable from the Wandering Trader and Pufferfish have spikes just like the Guardians. Maybe having one struck by lightning while all 5 of the Coral blocks are nearby. Since that would give the Lightning Rod an actual use and would be made easier if you farmed it enough to get a Trident (and put Channeling on it). Lastly, this popped into my head as I was typing this and I think it's hysterical and terrifying at the same time...Squid Jockeys. I think you can figure out how those would work.

I think a unique way to get Mooshrooms would be by having you feed a cow red (or brown for the variant) mushroom and then throwing a regeneration potion on the cow.

I absolutely loved your ideas in both of these videos. I agree that the elder guardian was a little out there, but you're being creative. I think a lot of these could easily be added to the wandering trader loot pool, even if its at an unbelievably low chance. I really doubt there are many people farming the wandering trader like you, so it wouldn't be game breaking. Random idea that just popped into my head, what if you could create enough of a biome that biome specific mobs would just naturally spawn in over time. Like if the game detected x amount of jungle trees, ::poof:: a parrot spawns.

It was a challenge, ngl! That's a very interesting idea- I think that may be how it works in Terraria. If you place enough blocks from a particular biome the game actually changes the biome.

for the "tropical" animals maybe there should be a rare chance for a structure that would contain 4 of random animals of these types in cages with a villager type mob called "zookeeper" and you would be able to trade with him for items related to these mobs

I think it would be nice to apply villager-like mechanics to spawning. In the pre-1.14 days, villages were defined according to "houses", which were themselves defined as a door with more roof blocks on one side of the door than on the other side (in a front-back orientation). Technically this meant a valid house could be a door with a single block placed next to the upper half of the door, preventing a villager from actually going inside, but the extreme minimalist requirement was completely covered up by the village structures so you never really noticed anything wrong until you experimented or took advantage of that knowledge. For example, to spawn cows you could include a grassy area, a hay bale, and some water, maybe a small structure to provide an inside (the size of which might determine how many could spawn). We could have various "furniture" bits that work like villager workstations...a block that anchors the feature to a specific place (in this case, spawning). Food bowls, perches/roosts, nests, troughs, birdhouses, etc. These would work as decoration, to get things to spawn you'd have to make some sort of bait or satisfy some sort of investment condition (ie, structure-based spawning where you have to include certain things in a given area, breeding items, etc). Another way to introduce mobs would be through the wandering trader, in the form of items similar to fish in a bucket. The fish in a bucket can be released into the world as a persistent (ie, nametagged) mob, and since we have a way to identify this particular mob we could perhaps use it as a literal moving spawner. Build an area to spawn more mobs in, dump in your mob, and harvest when desired. It would be quite impossible to maintain your original mob-in-a-bucket entity since you don't see a name tag, so to continue the spawning you would need to collect a seed mob before slaughtering. Land mobs like rabbits might be sold in a cage. Finally, and this one's kinda terrible to me (a sort of cheap, cheaty way out), if superflat is intended mainly for Creative use but you're giving us survival access to it...shouldn't spawn eggs themselves be made available in some way? Whether that's tightly-controlled by super-rare wandering trader/villager trades, crafting (egg surrounded by other things), shears (you monster, cutting babies out of innocent animals like that!?), or perhaps an exclusive feature of the wandering trader via some special item that unlocks the creative menu.

1:34 I used to play super flat survival all the time it was really challenging at first and then easy but if you wanted to build something big e.g. farms or just a big fancy building it was really difficult to get the blocks to add colour and not have everything just grey

for the snow bucket i have a pretty awesome idea: if you hold a bucket in your off or main hand, and you fly above y 600 with an elytra (so where it snows in plains biomes) you have a 0,001 percent chance of getting the bucket filled. That would make it really hard to get since you first need an elytra, then you need a ton of fireworks to stay up there for a long time. I think it would really make sense and it still isnt easy.

I don't think it needs to be astronomically low odds; I think it should just take a while. Then add the same mechanic for buckets filling with water in the rain and we have a very subtle system that adds to immersion.

They should make snow stop at the world height exactly. It would be an in game way to see where the top of the world is. Players wouldn't have to use F3 or have a pop-up text letting you know you can't place blocks anymore. That last layer would turn water below it to ice and could place snow layers above. Could also maybe spawn polar bears and goats at that top block.

They need to add quicksand to desert biomes (basically a sand-version of powder snow) that can convert zombies into Husks. Then they could have the Wandering Trader trade powder snow and quicksand buckets (providing biome-specific items is his job after all).

My idea for husks was something more similar to your mooshroom idea. Husks turn into zombies when they drown and those zombies turn into drowned when _they_ drown. So what if the reverse happens when the zombie or drowned get struck by lightning?

now 1.19 is out maybe sculk catalysts could be Pillager outpost loot. This means you can get the warden in superflat, because if a mob dies near a catalyst it spreads sculk and has a 1% chance to spawn a sculk shrieker, meaning you can spawn the warden. The frog and tadpole could be possible too, because wandering traders could trade frogspawn or bucket of tadpole, making tadpole possible. Then they could grow up into frogs. All three colours of frog could be possible too in superflat because the plains biome is classed as temperate, the nether biomes are warm and the end biomes are cold. You could grow a tadpole up in the the nether even though water evaporates because you could quickly feed it slimeball before it dies, and we all know how common slimes are in superflat. This also mean all the 3 frog lights could be possible. Sorry if this comment is like 6,969 lines long lol (edit: actually I don’t know if sculk shriekers which spawned from catalysts can summon the warden)

It'd be neat if they added Terraria-Style biomes, where you can change a biome by swapping out the blocks from that biome with blocks from the desired biome.

For husk it can be that if zombie is exposed to light long enought it turns into a husk. It would require you to make like fire resistance or regeneration potions to keep him alive for that long. I think it makes a lot of sense and could be very fun.

Parrot - if you collect all the music discs and play them all at once, then it will summon a parrot to come and dance. Mooshroom - Feed suspicious stew to a cow, but it may take more than one try (like taming an animal) Dog - to expand on your wolf idea - a skeleton dog could sometimes spawn with the skeleton horses & riders

Might be a little late to these videos but I think for the husks, the wandering trader could sell "monster sand", kind of like monster cobblestone aka silverfish infested cobblestone.

heres my ideas: Goat: A sheep will turn into a goat after being near snow for to long Husk: A zombie will turn into a husk after Being in a quicksand which can be Obtained through Wandy T Wolf: Can spawn in a chunk with 8-13 trees in it if its even possible Fox: Same as the wolf except its taiga trees Guardian: An pufferfish will turn into a guardian with a strength potion Elder guardian: A guardian will turn into a elder Guardian using a strength potion and a golden apple thats all for now. here are my ideas to get all the mobs I want on superflat rabbit:add them to plains biomes squid:sometimes you could fish them up axolotl:make the wandering trader sell the bucket of axolotl parrot:if you strike a bat with lightning it will turn into a parrot fox:foxes could spawn within 4 blocks in every direction of a Sweet Berry bush salmon:make the fisherman villager sell the bucket of salmon wolf: if a campfire was cooking raw mutton or raw rabbit it will spawn a wolf depending on the food amount goat:they could spawn above y-256 if there is snow Dolphin: they could spawn within the range of a conduit Guardian:like the squid you could sometimes fish up a guardian elder guardian:you could summon a elder guardian much like the wither turtle:make turtle eggs spawn in ruined portal chests

baby squids exist in bedrock so if they are ported over to java maybe the wandering trader could sell a bucket of baby squid? somewhat dumb idea i know, loving the structureless community in your discord by the way :)

If they added iceloger I don't think they would spawn with polar bear because in the real world that animal is really rare and they don't want to support killing animals that are about to extinct. That's why bears, turtle, dolphin, and bee aren't dropping any useful or rare items when they're killed

Maybe parrots could be cat gifts? In the same way actual cats leave things like caught mice and birds as "gifts" to their owners. You'd maybe have to rescue them or patch them up by feeding them seeds though, as they would be on death's door after getting caught.

I heard a fake theory that if cows spend too much time on mycelium they'll turn into Mooshrooms. Could be a funny easter egg! Also, maybe having a zombie "die" from suffocation damage from sand could turn it into a husk, kind of like the drowning mechanic for drowned. For parrots, maybe there's an extremely small chance they spawn from thrown chicken eggs, kind of like a genetic mutation (this could also work for getting ocelots from breeding cats). The lightning idea also works though; it would even be sort of hinted at by the "Parrots and the Bats" advancement!

I have an idea for guardians and elder guardians. So prismarine shards become a rare fishing loot, and so you can fish and make that prismarine and crying obsidian structure. The elder guardian has a special attack, where if you’re out of attack range but still in detection range he will spawn 9 guardians. This could work for a really cool farm

Why is it that you can't like use an axe to shave packed ice and turn it into snow the same way you shave wood? I think that'd be a nice solution to get snow in a superflat without changing too much. I wonder if they'll do that for like say a snow sculpting thing in a future update.

What if they made a special plains biome that would only generate in superflat worlds and add that biome to the spawn restrictions of each mob. They could add additional rules to some of them too like for polar bears they only spawn in the Flat Plains above y250 so it’s still cold enough and it doesn’t create a weird plains biome with polar bears roaming alongside bunnies.

Do pillager outpost only spawn in pre-new generation worlds that are upgraded to 1.18? I started a 1.18.2 flatworld but no outposts just strongholds, villages.

Exactly. The issue is that 1.18 worlds start at -64 instead of 0. So the lower world height messes with structure generation.

You bring up Bedrock Edition and I've played a little bit of Bedrock Edition Superflat and it is a similar but harder version of Java Superflat, as villages don't spawn. But if you were to give yourself 1 bucket of Lava, you can progress pretty far, and there is a way to get to the end in Bedrock Superflat but its very convoluted and requires an old unpurchaseable (digitally, that is) version of Minecraft.

I think goats, wolves, and foxes should have a chance to spawn in villages. I know mountain goats aren't the same thing as regular goats but y'know. Also wild dogs and foxes would definitely hang around places with a lot of people, just like they do in real life.

pandas an parots have a chance to spawn on jungle trees. and maybe if they do add panda they can make it so if they stay at y=250 or above they turn into polar bears

I have recentky started a minecrfat flat survival world and i am in 1.8 getting rabbits. But animals dosnt seem to spawn. Some of them spawned but then they just suddenly stopped and no mather how far I run they wpnt start spawning again. What should I do to find the rest of the rabbits in different coulurs when 0 animals spawn?

sounds like your passive mob cap in your spawn chunks has been reached. Try killing all the animals you can and they should start spawning again. The passive mob cap is annoyingly low
