Great video dude, sometimes I forget why I play the game when I’m struggling to find pace, thanks for the reminder to have fun! We all appreciate any input your willing to share with us about the fast guys and how they operate

Love the idea of this vid/series. As a noob, I appreciate tips like shifting the Genesis at 90%. Here are a few other things I (and my noob brethren) would want a pro’s input on: 1. How to figure out independently when is the optimal shifting point of any given car? I’m guessing there’s a way to read the car’s settings and figure it out? 2. More detailed explanation of the tuning, and how the pros arrive at those numbers. I’m not nearly consistent enough to be able to tell if a small adjustment is what got me my best lap, but if I could at least understand why pros want certain adjustments for certain cars/tracks. You touched on it today briefly. 3. Less of just telling us the braking markers you use, and more of the “why”. For example, maybe you choose a late braking point because you don’t care about maximizing exit speed on that turn? I guess the thought process is what would be more helpful, seems most KZbinrs just tell us their markers and nothing more. 4. More detailed explanation of throttle usage, like where in the turn are you coasting, when are you at 50%, etc. Similarly, today’s vid was good in that you explained your choice of gears, and why you prefer 3rd mostly (“less sketchy”). That helps! Maybe even more detail of the risk reward imbalance and why 3rd is the smarter play. 5. A cool idea for a vid would be to talk out loud for an entire race, constantly saying what you’re thinking. Ex.: approaching a turn might sound like: “Here we go, slamming the brakes at the 100, down to 1, straight to 3, don’t touch the grass, back to full throttle… now!”. You’re the funnest racer to watch IMO, thanks for the content.

Thanks mate, so I really appreciate the feedback and yes I can expand more on the points you talked about e.g. explaining why I brake here, the setup(I'm still far from an expert on) and also how to shift the car whilst expanding more on the throttle and brake usage, this is very useful so I appreciate it.

Thank you so much.. no word of a lie I got my time down from 1.43.02 down to 1.41.8 and that was after 2 laps on medium tyres. Switched onto soft and pull 1.41.05 on my first flying lap.

Flip how you're trying to teach, pointing out the negative and leaving it on negative leaves the mind lingering on the negative. Essentially you're teaching all the wrong things. The best teaching strategy for the human mind is teach how to do it the best way, the positive things to do, mention what not to do the negative things, close by reinforcing the good again. I love the idea of someone as good as you doing these vids but yeah flip the script and we all learn to get better instead of what not to do
@WindGT711 ай бұрын
Hi mate, can you elaborate a bit further as I feel I didn't mention anything negative in this video I was just explaining what I would do differently to the guy watching the lap and giving people tips on how they are losing laptime which in some cases can be a little negative but I don't think I mentioned anything negative let me know if I am wrong and explain where I did mention negative comments but thanks for the advice
@Sofaspeed11 ай бұрын
@@WindGT7 it's just exactly that, pointing out the wrong (aka negative) and mentioning the correct (aka positive). It subconsciously focuses the mind on the wrong, since the first and more prevalent note is that. A better way would be show the right way first and foremost, mention the wrongs after, then reinforce the right. "Turn 1 you want to brake here, turn here, aim for here" (etc etc, all the things to do right in t1). "Don't turn in too early here like I see others doing, and don't..." (1 or 2 don't do things) "remember focus on this brake, and aim for..." (Refocus on the most important few tips to bring the mind back to positive thoughts) It's a teacher thing, best way for mind to grasp new things especially when a bad things needs to be replaced. I didn't mean your attitude or personality was negative, you're cool there.
