Some of the best advice i got, was learn how to be smooth on the brakes. I was always on a knifes edge going into braking zones and would constantly make mistakes or crash into people because i was not in control. I think i still suffer from over braking into some corners. Anyways, Awesome video!

Great info! I will definitely be practicing. Thanks. I’m usually in the top 1,000 in time trials but I can’t seem to improve. I know my braking is inconsistent. I never thought about not needing to break fully in some corners. Now I know how the fast guys carry the speed through the corners. Excited to put your helpful tips into practice. 🏁🏁🏁

Back in the day when I started watching you, the best thing I learned is how to trail brake. When I got into that I learned so much about the cars and how to brake and get more rotation and only thanks to you.

Great video man. It helps so much. I'm A+ on controller and now I cant just go and do laps and win races, I can but it isn't interesting as it was. To be faster I need to know things like this, so thanks, much love❤

I have noticed that if you brake 100% the ABS intervenes so much that it can be 80% or 70% and it is never the same on the same track in the same corner. I have started to brake at 90% because then the ABS intervention is the least

Thank you! That's a cool and easy to follow lesson. Can you make a vid about brake distance with different types of tyres (like comfort, sport and racing)? And different types of engine+drive (MR, FR, etc.), and different power tier cars (like Gr1, Gr2, Gr3, Gr4, slower road cars, old timers). Maybe some advice about cornering with lesser grip tyres? Sorry for the many questions, I'm casual player.

I keep my V3's at 3.5 load, and love them excellent, if your going to upgrade anything to improve your track speed id get pedals no doubt
@Gato-Laranja-Mts7 ай бұрын
To me another point I struggle with is the position of the pedals. Sometimes I think my posture is good, therefore my trail breaking becomes consistent, however often I am convinced I have to readjust stuff around and I loose muscle memory. Figuring out what is incorrect about my posture has been a struggle because it depends a lot on my rig, and even personal preferences.

Good video, I liked it enough to subscribe. My question is about TCS: I usually have it set at 3 for Gr1, 2 & 3 cars- and I dial it down to 2 for the Gr4 cars; what are your thoughts on this? I heard setting the TCS too high will actually slow you down.
@DigitRacingDG6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the sub! You lose a lot of time per lap with those setting. Gr.4 cars don't even need TCS (or at least try to avoid it) Gr.3 you can use 1 or 2. Even that can be slower. I think your problem is acceleration, so try to gradually apply the power instead of going from 0-100% instantly.

The problem with GT7 is that it activates abs immediately no matter what. You can't drive the sim without abs, and that's not realistic.

There’s an option to turn ABS off, ON weak, ON default.

Thanks for the video I am currently taking my sim racing more seriously but I do have the break zone on to help me get used to the tracks does that slow you down having them on I have all other assists off just the braking zone is lit up? Thanks for any replies
@paulsmith67567 ай бұрын
Hi mate, I had all assists off but still used the brake indicator, my buddy made me turn it off and it took about 1 week to get used to it but made me a way better driver, when you have everything off, it forces you to start paying attention to small details in different stages of the corner and makes you learn the track and corners on a level you didn't think was possible! Good luck with the racing and learning, what a great hobby👍🏾
@TurboZHK7 ай бұрын
Yes, there are somthing else that slows me down... drving line choices. I find fast drivers always have slightly different driving line compare to mine here that there. Maybe you can make a video about tricky line choice with different drive trains and corner shape? For example, sometimes I thought I should go deep and maximize acceleration distance but going tight is actually faster. It's quite often the line I choose to drive isn't the optimal one.

I have a Thrustmaster T300 RS wheel with no load cell pedals. Now my gas-pedal has been broken and I decided to buy load cell pedals. Today I got them. And I would have never thought that there would be such a big difference. I am a low A+ driver, but now not any more. I hope I can get used to the change soon but at the moment I can't feel when I am braking 100 % or 50 % and most of all why I am not braking at all, although I am applying the braking pedal. I am quite confused right now. Do you have any tips for the right settings of the braking pedal? Thank you.

What means red bar and white bars same time on brakemeter ?
@warren99827 ай бұрын
The red bar is how much brake input you're giving. The white bar is how much brake input the ABS system is allowing to avoid locking the wheels. If you turn off ABS completely, the bar will always be white but you're on your own to manage lockups. This is the same visual system the throttle UI with TCS on: red bar is your input, white bar is what the TCS system is allowing to avoid spinning your wheels.

The first part of my journey is two feet driving, I refuse 😂😂
@Kavs.907 ай бұрын
You'll see its much easier than you think. On an actual car, the brake is spaced too far to the right so that people can 1 foot drive without any fuss on a daily basis so we tend to never use the left foot other than the clutch, in a rig on the other hand you can space the pedals to have a confortable left foot braking. The reason people left foot brake is to be ready to brake and use the throttle at any instant avoiding the constant "dance" of the right foot on the pedal plate. Try it out, its not like you're gonna hit your head on the windshield if you apply too much left foot brake 😅
