Been a Vencord user for a few weeks, and my friend has been a discord modder for years. When I asked him about the ban rates, he told me that Discord only mentions client modifications in their terms so they can avoid liability if you get hacked. As long as your plugins aren't malicious, Discord absolutely will not ban you (I'm not sure they even have client-side mod detection afaik) once again, take this all with a grain of salt, but I absolutely love the QOL features vencord and vendetta (the mobile equivalent) have.

That's not exactly how that works. A ton of people use BetterDiscord and they haven't gotten their accounts banned and BD hasn't gotten a DMCA for the many years it's been up, along with other client mods. It's not hard to just make another Discord account and another alt and it's also not hard to mod Discord either. Besides, Discord doesn't have any methods of tracking who's using a modded client. As long as you're not using API breaching plugins, you're generally safe.
