Great idea! Los Angeles allows a 3 week checkout! One thing you forgot to mention was that there are probably severe data limits, meaning if you stream a lot of videos you're apt to use up the data plan limit and might get throttled or cut off.

I just started getting in a raspberry pi stuff last year and I started coding and I'm a very very very noob at this but I can maneuver with things like Kali Linux pretty easily. After the 7 days if no one is on the waiting list you can renew it and keep it for another 7 days if someone else is on the waiting list, and they have lots of these devices though, but if the waiting list is full then you have to return it otherwise they deactivate it after 24 hours.

It’s not free Internet it’s a hotspot that a library pays for and loans it out but don’t get me wrong it’s a good idea
