AyJay You also need to consider the established abilities that each class has. Jet packs and Warlocks’ ties to the phoenix can explain these traits. Hunters, while not able to glide, are the most acrobatic and evasive in most situations which suits them most. It also comes down to either embracing or abandoning unintended mechanics. Fans were upset when Titan/Warlock skating wasn’t possible at the beginning of D2, forcing them to rollback these adjustments and even introducing the Go Fast Update earlier this year. They’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t. Just embrace it all, my dude. (Except for Titan macros on PC as they currently stand as you fly around the map far too fast, imo. 😆 too much of an advantage.)

I completed the raid for the first time two days ago and that stupid Rocket launcher and age old bond both dropped TWICE and ruined my dreams of getting chartering bone. Good luck to you. Only chattering bone and Nation of beast are the worthwhile weapons(maybe transfiguration if you like scouts) so hold you breath to get disappointed if these weapons don't drop.

Warlock: Top tree dawnblade, activate it just prior to leaving platform. Jump and then icarus dash (double tap B/0), wait then incarus dash again, repeat... when it runs out have a sword and do normal incarus dash, jump, sword combo to get the last bit

damn, I was just at the Suro Chi checkpoint finishing up the 4th Horseman Catalyst, at least I have the checkpoint... Sweet, I went and did this on my Warlock before posting this comment and 2nd chest got the Taken Armaments!! This is the first time I ever opened those chests, woohooo! Never even done the Raid!! Awesome vid man, clear and concise. EDIT: FYI for the Warlock you don't need to use Worldline anymore to get across the gap for the second chest. Use top tree Dawnblade, consume your grenade for Heat Rising before jumping, after it runs out and you start to fall pop Super and just Dash across.

@StopMotion I couldn't get the double jump with worldline to work either(I think they patched it), you don't even need to use Worldline anymore. Just use top tree dawnblade and consume your grenade for Heat Rising, get a running start and jump. Just float as long as you can without falling then activate your super and dash across.

There is a trick to getting that initial forward momentum with the Warlock when trying to jump the gap. You have to time your heavy attack (with the Worldline Zero) at the exact edge of the bridge or the boost won't work, which means your character's feet will still be on the ground when you do the attack. You still have to time the 'jump' just as your Warlock disappears so keep practicing. This is one of the small little tiny details that get overlooked in these 'pro' video tips. If you are dying on the death timer, then you're not moving forward far enough to get past that death zone. Trying spamming your super (during the death timer) to see how far you have to go forward to get past that death zone.

Thanks for this! Just a small note though, because I hear this on every one of these videos that I've watched so far... it's not necessarily once per character, per week. More specifically, it's once per CLASS, per week. For 99% of you this won't make a difference, because most people just have all three classes on their account. But I have two separate accounts so that my son and I can both play together. And on one of those accounts, we actually have two characters that are the same class. When I did this with the first Titan on that account, I got both chests with no problems. I then tried it with the 2nd Titan we have on the same account, and both chests were empty. The hunter from that account was able to get his chest. So it seems it limits you by class, and not by character. Again, not a big deal for the vast majority of you, but I thought it was worth noting.

I got two god rolled Chattering Bone pulse rifles from doing this. One has rampage, rangefinder, and masterwork range. The other has rampage, outlaw (replacing rangefinder), and masterwork range as well. Best pulse rifle ever. Screw Bygones and Go Figure.

Top Tree Dawnblade replaces Nova Warp for the Morgeth chest after the super changes. Do the same with Worldline Zero's Tesseract perk but use Icarus Dash instead of warping. EDIT: The changes made to Nova Warp in 2.2.1 allows it to make the gap again.

The first green platform jump that is around the corner is much easier if you first land on the small rock and make two jumps rather than try to go around a corner while jumping. With a hunter that's easy but found it annoying with a warlock.

Tyvm. Calling out the jump jump sword made it very easy to get over there on my first try. I had the timer but avoided it. I fell off the branch but on my second flight I stayed well above the timer and finished it. That was actually a lot easier than the first chest.

Thank you very much Ninja Pups. Just tried this and it totally works. To anyone attempting this for the first time, Titan is the easiest and I recommend going to your tribute hall, topping off on heavy and practicing first. You can leave the raid to top off on heavy ammo if you need. The check point will still be there. Warlock is much more tricky, I tried with the new solar top tree and while consuming the grenade and doing 2 dashes give a lot of distance, it is not enough. Popping the super still cause me to drop like a rock. With the exotic starfire protocol that give 2 fusion grenade might give enough heat raising float time but I did not have that. In the end following the guide and using nova warp is just enough to make it across.

Still works. Done many with Titan, just succeeded with Warlock. Both required lots of practice! Nova Warp/Burst Glide works (I added Astrocyte to boost Blink). *Hitting Tesseract/jump/jump combo is critical to boost you past Turn Back zone.* Practice jumping off raised circular platform to far left as you spawn in. You'll learn when you hit max boost so when you try the bridge jump - and don't max - don't pop super, just die and try again. Save a lot of banners! Hope this helps.

Still works, and although to my knowledge there's still no way for Hunters to get that other chest thanks to the recent update to Solar subclasses Warlocks now have a MUCH easier method of getting across that chasm. Put on the Dawnbreaker subclass with Icarus Dash and the ability to consume their grenade for a massive buff to aerial maneuverability. Sprint, jump, glide a ways, pop their super and then use the Icarus Dash (nice and steady, just like with the Nova Warp method mentioned in your video) and you should have plenty left over to land softly. If anyone knows any way for Hunters to do this solo, would love to hear it.

@@Yeezus1468 Teleporting? Do you mean dashing or blinking? At any rate, I've narrowed it down to a more detailed formula. I use "burst glide" but honestly I don't think it makes any difference, nor does mobility seem to be a crucial factor but a high mobility stat doesn't hurt. Give yourself just enough space from the edge to allow you to get up to full sprint speed before jumping. You want to double-tap your jump button to get the greatest burst of both height and distance, so practice on the solid ground with the aim of getting as much height as possible. When you're ready, consume the grenade to activate the Heat Rises perk, sprint, launch, and push towards the other ledge (the shortest distance between point A and point B). You want to keep your movement stick pushing towards that other ledge the entire time, don't let up until you've landed. When the Heat Rises countdown reaches 2 or 3 seconds remaining (you can try to time it at 1 but you don't want it to run out), activate your super, still pushing forward so the activation animation continues to drag you forward. Double-tap your "crouch" button to dash forward. There'll be a "whoosh" sound as you dash forward, followed by a lower-pitched, almost a "smoldering" sound as the dash ends. Soon as that lower-pitched sound tapers off you want to trigger your next dash. If you've got enough height at the start you should pass completely over the "soft kill" border and there wont be any "turn back" message. If you REALLY got enough height you'll hit an invisible vertical cap about 3/4 or so along the flight that will bump you downwards. Don't panic, don't fight it, just keep pushing forward on your control stick. If your mobility isn't maxed out your super may konk out before you're completely across but stick with the same "slow and steady" timing with your two Icarus Dash charges and you should be fine. Don't worry too much about losing height once your passed the soft-kill zone. If your super holds out all the way across the chasm you can use the Icarus Dash as a "breakfall" so you don't die trying to land.

Convenient they go "free to play" after I already spent nearly $200 on D2 content, and now the "game" may be free but anything remotely resembling content (such as it is) still costs money, the only difference being now it's only TEMPORARY content. So I gave D2 the boot and now I' playing Phantasy Star Online 2. The microtransaction stuff is more expensive, but absolutely none of it is actually necessary so you don't have to pay a single penny to play the game in full (aside from Xbox Live subscription costs).

You don't need to necessarily use the Worldline Zero as a Warlock. You can just use the Burst Glide and top tree Daybreak.First,you use your glide as high as you can.Once you've reached max height,use your Super and keep using Icarus Dash.Simple and straightforward. Shout-outs to Cheese Forever.

A quick one for all those struggling with the 2nd chest, the jump across is not patched, you're most likely messing up the teseract jump, 2 things that is most commonly going wrong with the jump, its either you're not pressing the right click as you're falling, or you're jumping either too early or late, wait till your character model has vanished for the teleport then jump twice inside that animation frame, if you mess up this you hit a *death barrier* that triggers the countdown, if you do this right you will skip over the first death wall

Like the video. But truthful I can't make that last jump. I activate World Line Zero where you show to do it and use my burst jump then ult but the turn back never goes away. So I die to it every time. Anyways keep up the great content.

Have you tried top tree Dawnblade (aka Attunement of Sky) with The Wings of Sacred Dawn exotic chest? Do the Tesseract Jump. Make sure you still have your glide on. Then you proc your super then Icarus Dash through, but try not to burn out your super. Once your super has gone out, switch to your gun and aim in so that you can wait for your Icarus Dash Cooldown. Then Icarus dash again and then aim again. Keep in mind that you can't keep aiming in too long so you have to aim out and then aim in quickly. Keep doing this until you reach the bridge.

You can make it back but using a titan I cant get the sword flying right to actually get height when I jump. So I get 3/4 across but am way too low and just finally fall

BTW, greatly appreciate this how-to kind of video. Although I'm not going to attempt the jump, I will practice sword jumping just for the sake of learning how to do it. I keep telling my mates we need some sort of workshops for using supers properly and jumping lol a lot of us are casual gamers - and older generation could be it - so we struggle with simple little things sometimes....

Tip if you don't have the exotic sword at 5:35 , just use a normal sword and blink + fission and you make it over super easy with just blink, ult, blink, ult, done.

Been pulling 2 chests per character a week since the first exploit was found, and only semi-patched. :P

Just did the first chest for the first time (never even played the raid) and it worked 100% the first time. Didn't have any trouble on the code wall (except when I ran out of ammo for the scout rifle I was using lmao)
