I can confirm that all the gold key bosses except Azteca and Avalon drop mounts. They may drop mounts I just haven't received one.Another way you can get mounts is from fishing at bundle houses, the easiest by far is from the Acropolis, the two-person Aquilan Dual Chariot. Just winnow Ice and whatever is left as a very high chance of being a chest

Captain Hopkins was awesome back in the day for the mount drops. It was something ridiculous like one every two or three runs sadly the drop rates are terrible today, you'll be lucky if you get one after 30 stone keys.
