Ice is super underrated , it's probably the second best school for soloing challenging content. It's the best user of archmastery by far too , you can just get a hybrid damage pet and use Ship of Fools to heal or just play as a tankier life wizard in group content.

@@EudeneZmi Ice's WW gear is by far the worst stats wise , so it suffers in arc 2 . Can't judge the whole school by how it performs 60-99. Once you get 100 gear Ice slaps , the only reason Ice suffers is because of lvl 38 blade and WW gear ( or Zigazag but no one farms it) being the only option for arc 2 which falls off hard for most schools.

THAT is what minions need. When you’re unable to control your minions, they often end up ruining strategies at critical times of boss fights, making you wanna strangle them with a drain health. It makes them often unusable when the AI is dumb; myth would be amazing with minion control as a class ability.

Nice video Noah I agree with you Death and Myth are the two best schools. I use my Death a lot for helping other wizards questing and she is my favorite. My Myth is awesome the only issue like you said is the minions since you can't control them which is why I don't use them. I also don’t like the stunning since myth gets the most stunning spells. I also agree with you on how ice grew onto to me because I also used to dislike ice. When they started increasing damage on Frost Giant I got a lot happier because I use that spell a lot during solo boss fights and I also love the spell snowball barrage and it makes fights easier. Also, I agree with you on Storm being boring even though I have a perfect damage pet it doesn’t mean it’s my favorite school because I prefer a challenge like ice, life, and balance. Also, I don't like spamming Tempest since it's a boring AOE spell. I only really use my storm for helping other wizards. Also, balance is an another fun school because you can hit, heal, and blade your friends and also you get the spell judgment. I do wish Balance got a prism early game though because balance bosses are a struggle but sometimes it’s best to get a max level for instance with the boss belloq. Now Life was my first school in the Wizard 101 game and it’s a fun school because you can hit and heal which proves that life can be more than a healer. Now fire is a fun school and it is definitely enjoyable my only issue is the dot damage gimmick. Noah you make great videos keep it up! I can’t wait to see your new videos

My first max level wizzard was a Life lvl 140 (back when that used to be max level). I never had such fun because using power pips for heals saved me so many times and leveling was a breeze for the most part. Managed to get all the best dragoon gear which took me ages to grind and a lot of sleepless nights (again back when that was the best gear). Good memories man 😂

My first ever max Wizard (been playing since around 2010) was and still is my Myth wizard. That wizard suffered through the endless torture of being one of the worst AoE hitting schools until they reworked the 7 pip spells. Imagine seeing Humungofrog for 90% of the game, then finally getting Mystic Colossus and having to wait on getting a shadow pip to hit… That was true agony. I have a bias towards Myth since I’ve stuck with it since day one, but I can almost assure you nobody picks it for the minions thing lol I picked it because when I was younger, my brother picked Storm and I wanted to be the opposite of that. I also really like the mythological creatures that Myth brings to the table :) I just made a Balance wizard because I want to see how challenging the game is with Balance! (I deleted my level 60 Storm wizard in order to make this Balance, haha) My highest-level characters - in order - are my Myth, Ice, and Life. I made a Fire wizard a few years ago but they’re kinda stuck in Dragonspyre atm, and my Death is in Mooshu even though I made them in 2010 also, I just never really connected with Death lol

I remember hearing about Nigel Lambert's passing yesterday. While he lived a fairly long life, to me he was THE headmaster. Especially since I got back to playing the game last month. May he rest in peace. For the video itself, I'm currently playing as my Myth with a friend (she has an Ice she wanted to duo quest with) and I generally agree, I think post 48, Myth's damage is amazing since Orthrus does so much damage (actually the same as Medusa, even though that spell is one extra pip and single target). I feel like generally, Balance is a good archmastery option for reshuffle. I generally like to carry one reshuffle in my monster and boss deck in case something silly happened like someone joining a fight and I just used my AoE or if I failed to kill a boss and they just healed. It's just a nice failsafe. Also for Death and Life, I know some people use either blizzard or sandstorm for their arc 1 AoE until they get their main AoE due to the archmastery system (they'd need to get a jewel that gives them one point but I think they can get it kinda fine) or in Death's case, they can get Deer Knight as an item card kinda early on.

I think nowadays every school except balance, is pretty solid. All the pack gear the accessibility to pet hatching makes it very easy to keep up with others. If you understand the most basic of the primary stats you can walk around as a lvl 10 with no exceptional pet with about 40 damage 20 resist and 5-10 accuracy. which is solid for early game. You can attain an AOE for all schools fairly early.

It would be interesting to see Myth, Fire, and Storm have spells that would be useful to other schools, similar to spells such as Feint, Tower Shield, and Satyr. Then there would actually be a reason to put training points into those schools. Also, to give balance better spells that only balance wizards can learn via school-specific quests or quest rewards. Maybe a combination of elemental and spirit blades that costs 2 pips, but can stack with both of them? For me, I really like the idea of feint: give a very strong damage buff, but it comes with a drawback: you take more damage on the next hit received. I think adding similar spells to other schools that fit their identity would be quite interesting. Here are a few ideas I have, but of course the numbers could be different: *For Fire, you could add a +50% blade that turns the attack into a DOT. If it's already a DOT, maybe it just adds the 50% and adds an additional turn? *For Storm, you could add a +50% blade that comes with a -15% accuracy charm. *For Myth, you could add a +50% blade for the cost of sacrificing another blade. *For Balance, you could add a card that gives +50% blades to all friendly wizards, but also gives all enemies +25% blades, or maybe a +50% blade that gives the caster a -25% weakness. Possibly even make it a 10% weakness if casted on self, which would equate to a 35% buff overall, the same as blades from other schools.

I’m a lvl 100 life wizard and have been playing my life wizard since I was like 12, I refuse to let my lil guy be boxed into support and I try and solo most dungeons lol, normally I can put out between 10-80k depending on how much I blade and trap but I’ve hit over 100k once or twice, the only real drawback is unless u have ratatoskrs spin then it takes a really long time to prep enough to hit and take out everyone in one or two hits, and with cheating bosses I’ve had fights that have been an hour longer than necessary with me dying and reentering dungeons because I can’t heal/hit with the limited pips and the way the turns work between all the cheats

I think Fire benefits a bit more from arch mastery than you give it credit for, especially when soloing. A good DOT followed by a heal is great for long instances where you don't want to use potions.

Storms res is still exceptionally low, can’t really touch many of the secondary gear sets that provide shad, because they put crit on the chopping block, the only piece of the set that doesn’t sac a large amount of dmg/ pierce is the athame which makes you lose your accuracy jewel. Idk I feel like a lot of the schools are weird rn.

What is outdated on death? It hasnt been updated in like a decade so i cant have said anything too incorrect. Also scarecrow’s base damage is only 110 off of orthrus, which may be a bit but its certainly not bad with healback. Ship of fools does more damage than Humungofrog and Drop Bear only does 30 more than Wobbegong. Every other spells is irrelevant basically.

At max level right now deaths gear gives on average 10 extra damage. Their spells base damage is almost identical so it ends up with death eeking out.

Balance with the ability to AOE hit with Storm makes them very versatile for farming IMO. Imagine you only had one maxed out wizard and it happens to be balance (Me). Whenever my friends need help questing they use storm and elemental blades on me. Whenever there’s a storm shield or storm boss I hit with power nova. I personally think my Balance can do it all with the broken gear available while a couple of years ago I’d need to make a storm or fire to help my friends quest while being the hitter.

Obviously you could go death, but you’re broken the entire game and probably doesn’t feel as rewarding in the end like balance does. When compared to similar schools like life or ice they get less utility which is less “versatility”. When compared to fire or storm you only got one role which makes them less versatile. I like myth in terms of its best competitor for versatility because at the end of the day they have a lot of utility with spells like shatter along with being able to heal with school pips if they want. I’d argue less versatile than balance because some people don’t even have spirit blades and traps trained. Also I feel like they have trash single teacher hits while balance got judgment and alot of versatile aoes. I definitely think myth is 2nd best option in terms of versatility and if you’re looking to be more offensive early game. (This is just me ranting high at 2:00 am but lmk if I’m tripping)

I got Dear knight on my death from a drop in a pack before they change it to spellements it did mad questing easy till I got scarecrow I kept in my deck till they change the lore spells to where you need the school pip now I have to make different decks because the new spells now need school pip spells. Now I'm like ugh because I got the lore spells I want and now I have to change my decks up if I want to use them or the new spells lot old players like me know how hard it was to get the lore spells as a drop let alone the one you want packs did mad it some what easy but if you farm the lore master you know how much time you spent and now in the new ear of the game that time is now wasted.
