This video is ONLY for anyone returning to the UK from a GREEN list country or have been fully vaccinated IN the UK and are returning from an AMBER listed country. (The fully vaccinated rule comes into effect on the 19th of July). You are not required to quarantine. Please note that although France are on the amber list, you will still be required to quarantine for 10 days.

Thank you for the support on my last video. Please remember that these rules can change at anytime so please do your own research as well. I would recommend buying tests as soon as you can, as they can sell out or get delayed during delivery.
Remember the 3 things:
test negative 3 days before returning to the UK
fill out the passenger locator form within 48 hours of return to the UK
Buy and take the day 2 test on or before day 2 when in the UK
If you are travelling somewhere from the UK, check with your airline or destination if they require proof of a negative covid test 72 hours before, or if they just want to see your covid pass.

Hey I’m so confused still sorry! . I am fully vaccinated here in the u.k … on the 25th sept I fly out to Barcelona and return to the u.k on the 28th so short trip . I think I understand the passenger form and I have my nhs proof of vaccination. But I still don’t understand what test I need to do do and when where etc .. sorry I’ve looked and looked and I’m still confused

You will need to take one in Barcelona before you leave, and then when you arrive in the uk you will need to take a pcr test on or before day 2. this has to be purchased before you leave Barcelona and must be a day 2 test listed on the gov website

hello, i do not know the rules for entering denmark unfortunately, but to enter the UK you will just need to be tested in denmark (unless its a layover) within 72 hours before departure. if you are travelling to scotland your day 2 test will have to be booked through CTM by the way.

Please give me advice, I am going to travel on 11 august from Romania to Wales but my arrival airport is bristol, I must follow the guidelines for England or wales. I read Romania is going to move in the green list on 8 august for England but as per wales, guidelines will stay in the amber list. Please help me I am confused

hello, no what i am talking about with breathe assured is a test you order that you bring with you to the country you are travelling to that you take 72 hours before you travel back to the UK. they do offer pre departure tests with randox but if you scroll down on their website to the next one - antigen test, that is the one i am talking about that you take in the country you travel to. hope this makes sense. any questions let me know!

It is very annoying that Canada isn't on that list, I'm Canadian and fully vaxxed but travelling to the UK and it for some reason it just doesn't count

Yes it is annoying. I was fully vaccinated in America and although the rules have changed for that now, it did not help me the two other times i had traveled. they need to change this and sooner. Hopefully they are working on increasing the number of countries accepted soon. there is a rumor they will accept those who have been vaccinated in a WHO country, but who knows when this will come into effect.

I'm going to the UK at the end of August for 5 months because my partner and his family are out there and we've been seperated for nearly a year now. You'd think Canadians would be similar with how the USA is being treated as we have even better vaccination rates and we've pretty much used similar vaccines. I kind of wish they were transparent as to why, or maybe I've just missed something. I do hope it changes in a positive way before I leave but we'll see, everything would've been paid for by then anyway lol

Many thanks for your efforts. A couple of clarifications please: at 14:50 you state that the PLF must be filled-in "within" 48 hours of travel, whereas my understanding is that it must be submitted AT LEAST 48 hours before travel. Well, that is how it is with the PLF required outbound by the Greeks: for Greece, you submit the PLF more than 48 hours before travel, receive an email acknowledgement immediately but the actual certificate is not issued until just after midnight (Greek time) on the day of arrival (with a special exemption for night flights). Are the British requirements different? Secondly, you mention the 72 hour deadline for the tests, but my understanding is that that is for the PCR test. I thought the Lateral Flow Test's validity expired after 48 hours. Can you clarify please?

@@AutopilotAviation Thanks for the clarifications. Have you done a video on the requirements entering an amber list country from the UK? Every country uses a PLF but they all seem to have different criteria, so the phrase 'PLF' is deceptive. I have just read of a family refused boarding to Greece because they did not understand that the Greek PLF must be submitted no later than 2359 Greek time (2159 BST) the day before travel which, I gather, is not a restriction on the PLF to enter the UK.

hello, if you are fully vaccinated in the uk and returning from an amber listed country you do not need to quarantine or take the day 8 test, however if you are not fully vaccinated or did not receive the vaccine in the uk, as it stands you still have to quarantine for 10 days upon arrival and take the day 2 and day 8 test. if you also decide to take the day 5 test you can come out of quarantine when you receive those results. hope this helps.

Would not recommend EXPERT MEDICALS for the covid test. They never sent me a barcode for the tube to place the sample in and don’t reply to emails. I haven’t been able to activate or send off the test. Thank you for the useful info in this video though 🙂

Hello, as per the new rule announced from yesterday and i belong from Nepal which is in red list and my neighbour country india is upgraded to Amber. My question to you is would uk government consider me if i move to india and stay there for 10days and get into Uk? So that i can save my hotel quarantine expenses

Hello yes that would work, as so long as you have been outside of a red list country for 10 days you will avoid the hotel quarantine, however as an amber country you will still be required to quarantine for 10 days and take a day 8 test (you choose where to quarantine though), unless you have received both vaccinations in either the UK, EU, or USA. (subject to change) Also bear in mind that the change in colours comes into effect at the end of the week. I hope this helps. Any other questions let me know

Hello, was it definitely a day 2 test? if so then they should send you a booking reference. if it was just a random test then they will not send you a booking reference and you cannot fill out the passenger locator form and will be denied travelling

If coming from the US to Scotland, fully vaccinated, their gov website says the day 2 test must be pre-booked, but when I go to fill it out, there's a request for address, would I just put the hotel address where we are staying at? Not sure if they just haven't updated the site with latest updates yet, as we would only need the day 2 test and no quarantine. Thanks so much!

Hello, i would contact your hotel to ask if that would be ok. If not, i would recommend looking for one in person, but yes a day 2 test must be booked in advance in order to fill out the passenger locator form. also to note, fully vaccinated means 2 weeks have passed since your second dose. Hi there I fly from Glasgow to Tenerife and return to Glasgow a week later. However, I live in England. The confusing thing is that the Scottish Government say your day 2 test has to be through a CTM booking portal at a cost of £88 per test. There are cheaper ones on the Government approved list but don't know if they'll be accepted in Scotland. Which test provider are you using if you don't mind me asking?

Hello this is something you need to check with ryanair. i think most airlines are going by the destination so since you are fully vaccinated i very much doubt they would require a negative test but i would still contact ryanair to double check

hello, you will need to test 3 days before your departure back into the UK, and you will also need a day 2 test after you arrive. as explained in the video. you can pick up a day 2 test for around £43

It is best to have your second vaccination at least three weeks before you need the certificate. This is because you are not permitted to even apply for a certificate until two weeks after the second vaccination, and then they have to process the application. I found 119 useless: the call-handler was helpful but nothing actually happened ... twice. So, for my third attempt, I went via the website which was much better (they even offer to contact you if there is a problem). My paper certificate turned up in the post about 5 - 7 days later, as advertised. Maybe it is faster for those that want a digital certificate: I don't know.
