This part of Thailand is well worth visiting if you have a chance to see. I made another video of going from Trat to Koh Kut from the Laem Sok Pier. Here is the video if you want to see more. How to get from Trat to Koh Kut (Koh Kood) - Thailand 2023 kzbin.info/www/bejne/d37EoJuFrN52psU

@@DiDi-px7bq have a great time when you go. Right now is a good time to visit. During rainy season it can be difficult since that part of Thailand gets so much rain.

We did the same bus trip by Boonsiri in mid-January. We paid 1100 Baht one-way to Koh Mak which included the bus, lunch and the ferry with one stop in Koh Kut. I like the new bus depot in Hat Lek. It looks like a contemporary art gallery or museum overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. It’s definitely a different pier (Laem Sok ?) from our previous trip to Koh Kut by Boonsiri in late 2022. We boarded the ferry and went straight up to the upper deck oblivious of the additional 100Baht charge. We moved back to lower deck about half an hour after the ferry was sailing. We got a complimentary pickup at Ao Lid pier from our resort on Koh Mak. We stayed for six nights on this beautiful and quiet island. Very nice island.

Ya the new ferry pier building is nice. It will be even better when they finish the pier at that location so you don’t have to get on the trailer to get to the boat. On the way back we used the same company and they took us to the Laem Sok pier instead of the new one. It’s about an hour and a half closer to Bangkok so it did save some time. The trip was very nice and I was glad to finally see Koh Mak. I think I like Koh Kut better and we will probably go there next time. I have a few other places on my must visit list that are ahead of a return trip there though. My list never seems to get shorter since I always find 3 places I want to visit for every 1 that I actually see. lol

If you go here it would be fun to island hop. Do 3 or 4 days on each island. There are a couple ferry companies that go between the islands. Boonsiri and Koh Kood Express seem to be the most used. I enjoyed Koh Kut more than Koh Mak but both were still really nice.

@@joezip6389 a trip along the coast would be a nice addition. I’ve done it a few times and it’s nice. From Sattahip through Rayong to Chantaburi is a great part of Thailand. A few places along the way that the Thais go for vacation plus Chantaburi old town is worth a visit.

The Bus at the International Busstation close to Suvarnabhumi Airport or Ekkamai Eastern Busstation in Bkk is 250 Baht to Hat Lek and the Ferry to Ko Chang is 80 Baht

@@bitzbatz3777 thanks for the info. This video is primarily about how to get to Koh Mak. There are many ways to get to Koh Chang since it’s closer and has a ferry to get there.

Sir, how did you book your stay at koh mak or koh kood?

I’ve stayed at both islands and I generally book them with agoda dot com.
