How to Get from Times Square to Dyker Heights, Brooklyn via Subway & Save Money

There are numerous tour groups which offer their services to view the Dyker Heights Christmas Lights in Brooklyn. However, most of them start from $60! An Uber from Times Square will run you $70 and that doesn't even include tips. In this video, I show how you can ride the NYC Subway to Dyker Heights and save money.

The best and cheapest way to Dyker Heights from Times Square is to board the D train at 42nd Street or from 47th-50th Street. Take it to 79th Street in Brooklyn.

It's the same price as taking the train I showed in this video and a different way of walking there with similar walking times The starting train all depends where you're taking it from.

It's possible to get the B1 Bus from 86th Street (R Train) or 18th Avenue (D Train) stations which runs along 86th Street to 11th, 12th or 13th Avenues.
