I used to use Latisse but it ruined my eyelids. Initially it worked well but eventually when I used it, even just a tiny amount once a week, my eyelids would become pink, tight and sore for a couple days. I also developed intense darkening of my lids. It used to look like I wore purple eye shadow. Took ages for the pigmentation to go away after discontinuing. Don't risk it!

Latisse has prostaglandin analogs which causes blepharitis and it's an absolute nightmare. I found this out the hard way from using a lash growth serum that claimed not to contain the analogs. Nothing is worth developing any conditions like this.

Not if you present it properly instead of dismissing it as a silly thing to worry about. If you lose patches of terminal hair, that is a red flag. Any good doctor would take it seriously

I bring this up in a regular basis and my dermatologist just doesn’t care. Primary care doctor has run numerous tests and there’s still no explanation. Some doctors are not interested in pursuing no matter how you present it. It’s the state of US healthcare, especially for women. End of rant.

I have trichotillomania where I pluck my beard hairs- I had sparse beard growth to begin with. I started getting IPL facials and one of the side effects was hair removal on my face. Made a world of difference! So relieving to not have beard hair to pluck out and obsess over

I am curious... do you have thoughts to share about risks long-term of microblading on actually damaging hair follicles? I used to have no brows because I had alopecia universalis but luckily been in remission for years. Took years for my brows to regain their former glory. One thing that has made my brows even better than before they fell out is my Omnilux red light mask. Lashes and brows are going wild.

I’ve used castor oil on my brows for six months which is slowly making them fuller. I’ve stopped using my eyebrow pencil because it was pulling out my hairs. Now I use a brow powder which is gentler on my hairs. Also I’m a side sleeper which I think decreases growth of my outer brows or pulls them out so I try to sleep on my back.

I tried Minoxidil 5%. My eyelids started to puff up and ache after a few weeks. I was only using a tiny amount. I haven’t tried the 2%. I can’t microblade because I am allergic to hair dye (last time I dyed my hair my body went into anaphylactic shock) I think I will stick to my brow pencil. Thanks for all the info Dr Dray🙌

I wondered why my eyebrows started getting "shorter", on the far end of each brow. Turns out I had a thyroid problem. But, even with thyroid medication to put my level back in the normal range, it didn't correct the shortness of my eyebrows.

@@LJE-B yes I watched the video after commenting and was glad to see it mentioned! What I personally do is use a dermaroller on my brows for like a second or two before then applying the rogaine foam with my finger. The combo of the two yielded more results than just the rogaine alone. I haven’t read about it anywhere but figured since dermarolling + rogaine is effective on scalp hair it may theoretically be the same w the brows.

I don't have any eyebrows & never did. Up until about 5 years ago, i just ignored the area, but i started using an eyebrow pencil about 5 years ago. I have never had to worry about plucking or waxing, so that part is good.

That's why it is so important with any small change on our skin and no matter how insignificant it may be we should see an expert aka a dermatologist that can address the root of the cause and skip the part where we experiment on our skin trying to fix the issue by ourselves flirting dangerously with possible side effects and other risky situations 😅. Dr. Dray my DR said to take PRIORIN for my hair loss. specific for the L-systine(spelling is wrong I know) Your thoughts on this product, if any? I am 37, under intense never ending stress. Festoon question. It seems like since I stopped using Latisse I wake up with puffy eye bags. I also am noticing the development of festoons. Mind you, I had my undereye bags surgically removed 7 years ago. Could the Latisse have been preventing the puffy morning eyes and the redevelopment of festoons. I used to put the Latisse on every night before I went to bed until last March.

Same. Tried micro blading twice, with very disappointing results. I think, they're just making up excuses. I mean, how many women with beautifully microbladed brows do you see walking around? It always looks perfect in the promotional pictures, but I think it smudges, fades and/or greys very quickly for most people. I'm sticking with my growth serum.

I've tried for at least 10 years to get my brows back from overplucking.. I barely get any brows, and the ones that do grow out, grow in weird directions. I f***ing hate teenage me for destroying my brows permanently... I can't even make them look decent with makeup... I also have tried minoxidil 2%, and it works a little bit.. kind of.. but it grows in weird directions.. I wish that I could afford microneedlimg 😢😭

:( my brow hairs have been falling out so easily it makes me sad, i avoid any products and rubbing but it cant be helped when washing my face with water. i lose at least 5-6 long thick hairs a day and im scared to put castor oil on them because i worry about the thickness of the oil causing more hairs to fall out in the process. i may have to revisit TO brow serum but if all else fails i may try minoxidil

I'd appreciate you so much if you could make a video on dandruff and scalp scarring from scalp acne/pimples and if its possible to recover a damaged follicle from scalp acne/pimples and how wo know whether or whether not its too late to save your hair follicles. I know nizoral shampoos can be used for dandruff but it's really pricy here in Saudi, and any alternatives that could deliver comparable results would be really helpful!! I'm 17, and after a few years of picking on my scalp pimples and acne, and im already going through hair thinning, im worried my hair won't recover the same and that some of the hairloss is permanent. I miss my hair density.
