Really appreciate this. I am wanting to incorporate finger drumming in my DJing and have been struggling trying to figure out how and then ran across this awesome video.

My background is mostly in guitar, with piano as something of a "secondary". My finger independence is excellent... on my left hand. I still can't get my fingers on my right hand to move the way I want them to.

Great skills! Also there's a guy named SpinScott. Also worth checking out if you're into jungle and DnB type of music

Great stuff man! I'd add from my experience that it is really important to practice with metronome on. Maybe it's not quite your concern as a drummer, but I tend to speed and slow down on the way. Anyways, thanks for posting that video and I wait for more content!

Yeah 100%. Practicing with a metronome has been key for me as a drummer, both on pads and on a full kit.

This answered questions I didn't realize I had. Thank you, Gabe Miller! :) (Side note: trying to tap Out this comment upon my smart phone screen after watching this vid Is trickier than I though because my thumbs want it to be rhythmic. 😂 Does that ever happen to you after hearing, studying, or making music, Where part of you tries to do the next task in the rhythm you were just interacting with?)

Have you found a workaround to seeing the tempo on the novation, while fingerplaying the drums live without programming a hi hat beforehand?
@notsuperwarm4 жыл бұрын
Hi, nice vid. Im thinking of getting the novation circuit. What do u think? Have a nice day. :)

1 vote for the Circuit, here. It's very fun and easy to pick up and play. Good sound, velocity-sensitive pads, very versatile and customisable. I bought a Deluge (beasicaly the Circuit on steroids) and I still kept the Circuit because I love it!
