Thanks for the Vid, a quicker way of doing is is just add hires next to the panel= in the aircraft cfg, ie panel=hires(or whatever panel you want), saves changing the folder name and allows for adding different panel configs for various liveries.

I have a GTX 1060 too. I think I really just need to upgrade my CPU. I'm currently running an i5 at stock core speed so it's probably holding me back.

Turn off TrueGlass. Temporary fix that worked for me.

When I changed the panel=hires in the fltsim.0 and .1 aircraft.cfg..I saw no difference..maybe because I only have a 32" 2560x1440 screen. I notice looking on the actual panel.cfg, the res = 2048 at best, with drop backs to 1024 and even 256 in places.

I think this tutorial just for P3D because I found that it doesn't have panel.hires folder in FSX version.

This really isn't the right way to use a panel. All this renaming stuff. All you have to do to use a panel folder is go into the "aircraft.cfg". Look for the line in each aircraft variant that says Panel=. To use the panel.hires all you would do is enter after the equals sign hires. So the panel entry would look like "panel=hires" Thats it. Too simple. Its the same way you enter new liveries into the aircraft fig. what ever come after the "." just enter the name. All this renaming works but its so lame. here is a sample of what it would look like to use hires folder for the panel ----> model= panel=hires sound= texture=singapore
