I'm about to go on my 3rd date with a guy whose been so fun, sweet and engaging. He hasn't tried to grope me up, kiss me, fondle me or spoken to me in appropriately to me over text which has made me see him in a greater light. Just nice compliments about how good I look. He's paid on every date that we've been on and as a thank you I thought to make him cupcakes which he says he's looking forward to, instead of falling into the pattern I used fall into when I used to listen to 'dating gurus' by sleeping with him to 'prove' I like him (big mistake 🙄) I thought giving him something home made and thoughtful would make him see how much I've appreciated the time we've been spending together. Just want him to feel appreciated and to see that his effort is reciprocated ❤️

Yes, I agree to be your genuine self. The expression, “I just want someone to love me for me”. My response is, “let me see you and not your representative”. My naïveté in the past was to believe people, to think people still operate by their word is their bond. Well, folks lie, not all, but a lot do. So yes, Stephen, transparency is one of the keys. I have girlfriends who are afraid to say what’s on their minds. My response to them is, “you are giving him your body, time and energy, there is nothing you can’t say to him or ask him”. It is a sad sight. Anyway, I forgot what I was saying. Great points!!!

@souldancersbyjennifer2 жыл бұрын
Yes exactly. Working hard brings out masculine energy. But we gotta work to stay independent when single. That's such a huge challenge!
@Reb-0811 Жыл бұрын
Totally agree. If you're older, it's a trick to not appear compentant and apparently "intimidating" - just the act of living a single independent life - whether you want to be single or independent or not - brings skills, capabilities, and abilities. And when you're on a job especially in a male-dominated environment you find you need to appear logical and detached to just get sufficient respect at work so you can do your job competently. It's tough - a conundrum.

I don't engage in intimacy to that extent unless it's a serious commitment, but run into a alot a men who expect because we are dating. It shows to me, you are either in it for 1 thing (I'll survive 🤣 not doing it ) or use to women doing it. To each their own, but it's frustrating to encounter when a woman knows she won't waiver on it and a man thinks it's outdated or dumb.

I will say that if a man is asking me out, my expectation is he will pay. I do believe women must be prepared to cover themselves just in case. However, it didn't work for me to pay when I invited a guy out I was dating/getting to know. He actually assumed I was not interested because I paid so it didn't work for me. I have had more success allowing the guy to pay and I would never give a guy money unless we are married (that is different). Submission (as a wife) is for husbands, not men you are just getting to know.

(woman here) Thank you so much for your this , I truly value your opinions and advice! At such young age I just gave a guy whatever they wanted ( usually sex) because I battled with my insecurities and didn't feel good enough. Now at 30, after learning the hard way, not being taken serious enough and not having enough dating and relationship experience I find it really hard to get back out there and try to do it the right way. I would deprive myself of sex and dating after failed relationships or sitautionships and would go months/years without talking to a guy or having sexual relations.Which has made it very difficult to get back out there and get comfortable with meeting new guys and pursuing relationships. I've been working on myself a lot and am now putting myself out there via online dating. I look forward to this new journey and am so glad I found your platform. Loved this segment. You not only touch on the heart of these issues, but give the tools we need to approach a better mind set when dealing with relationships. Ty for remaining neutral in your advice and giving the perspective point of views from both sides and how they can be perceived. I do believe when we are ready to seek real relationships, we should start with those who are liked minded. It’s a great starting point. Ty for delivering this to us in a manner light humor with genuine respect. I enjoyed this, I laughed with you, every-time because your vibe is contagious. Ty Sir.✨🙏🏽✨

my guy is head over heels with me. words for affirmation, spoils me, spends time with me, calls and texts me and always respects my boundaries. First date i said no to the ride home and he had a very expensive car, most women would want to go for it and he respected it. I haven’t done anything and he’s head over heels. Idk if it’s too good to be true 😅. He treats me like a princess 🥰. It’s been 3 dates but he treats me better than anyone i’ve ever been with.

I’m seeing this guy and I genuinely always offer to pay for my meals and this is what he told me that just really won my heart, “I know you can pay, but I want to pay- not a big deal” we also have an agreement that if I ask him out, I can pay for my meal✨

I remember this guy I’m dating on our first date. He asked permission if he can hug me. Then second date ask again permission if he can kiss me. Soft kiss. 😊

It always feels good for both involved when there are signs that you both are interested in each other. Unfortunately, social media and the internet have almost completely replaced personal interactions; thanks mainly due to the pandemic. Those closest to me know that I don't like or believe in using the internet to communicate with them or find THE ONE that I am meant to be with. Most of them have no problems respecting my wishes regarding this. The ones who did, I no longer talk to. If someone is really that interested in me, then they shouldn't have any problems respecting my wishes regarding this and if he does, then he is not THE ONE meant for me

Again Stephan you have given us the real deal! Thank you so much! Ladies let’s just be ourselves and allow the God of our own understanding to guide us to the remarkable love and relationship that we are so deserving of to give and to have. Let’s Stop being afraid of how God has made us and that is a Proverbs 31 woman. If you are confused then just read it and embrace it for yourself. I know I have and it is awesome. Excited to see what’s next for me!! Keep it 💯

I went on a date with this really awesome man and after he paid for dinner I invited him for drinks! I could tell he really liked that. He invited me on more dates and I always suggested beach picnic dates, explore small town dates ...I'm pretty feminine and always show that side and for our picnic dates I always had a surprise, like fruits or sangria, wine... He told me the other day how all those things surprised him soo much ....I'm sure he's hooked...it looks like he is

On the point about being genuine, I've come to learn that if you don't give all you feel ready to give emotionally, then you could look back in regret. The guy I'm seeing now, does so much to show me he wants me through actions and when we talk about the future. I feel if I was to hold back, he would close up or walk away.
