​@@drmuhdali as you take on gigs, you yourself improve as an editor. Improved & efficient more editors get paid more. How do you get paid more? Leverage. The longer you edit for a client, the more comfortable he gets with you and likely want to keep you so they don't have to start over with someone else. Ask for the raise when you have the most leverage. For example when you your clients views start going up, there's less notes or no notes for review, you're fast af and you're just making life easier for them. If you're switching from client to client, raise the price slowly from the last edit but make sure your LAST video is an absolute BANGER. Treat your edits as if they were Netflix Stocks before Netflix became what it is today. Treat Test edits the same way. 2X that effort and you'll skyrocket to the top of the list. my number 1 advice would be just edit for yourself. find a video you love or record some by yourself and start editing them in an engaging and creative way. along the way you will get ideas and you will look for other creators for some inspiration. that way you will get genuine ideas about how to edit certain parts of your video. and once you face those difficulties on how to recrate certain animations or edits, you can search on youtube for tutorials. and Boom eventually you will learn more and more from your problems. that's exactly how I learned editing without any paid courses. all for free by myself. sorry for the long lecture haha.

no I disagree. most of my audience are both youtubers and editors. and plus there's video editors who runs youtube channels by their own. and my past videos are sort of documentary videos, so there's a pretty high chance I'll attract youtbers in that niche. that way I can attract some potential clients and If I become smart I can land some pretty good clients. and ig this concludes that the niche you are choosing will play a major role when getting clients. hope this sort your issue.
