Hello Doctor, I am medical student in an EU countrry and an EU citizen and I failed to find information about how you become resident in Norway. I can't find if university grades, thesis grade or volunteering matter. Also how you join the residency program if there's an exam you have to take or you have to do job hunting. All I could find is that the Health Ministery has a website were you sent diploma, language test and a few other things and they will give you the right to practice. Any information or sources would be highly appreciated. I apologise for taking some of your time. Thank you very much!

Hello Doc , All the expenses till we get permanent license will take how much money in total because norway is a very expensive country so we need to make sure if we can afford it...Can you tell us about ur journey and how much will it take in total for completion of permanent license? ...also living expenses during those time in aprox ...Thankyou

Hello Doctor, I'm a medical student in Romania (I don't have an eu citizenship), after graduation and obtaining Authorization how easy it is to get into a LIS 1 placement, from what I've heard so far it's incredibly hard to get a placement as a foreigner. I'm currently learning Norsk and still researching if I should continue investing in it, and if I would have chance after graduating , thank you!

If I am authorised by the Helsedirektoratet as a specialist in OB/GYN (specialisation and nationality EU country) and I want to change my speciality can I apply to a lis 2 or 3 position? or must I do lis 1?

I am not very sure , But if you got authorisation as specialist than I dont think you need to start from the scratch . Have you talked to helsedirektoratet about it?

@@doctortalks7597 I have called and the person whom I have talked to did not know. I have sent also an e-mail to Helsedirektorate but I did not recive an answer yet. I think it should not requre lis 1 as I already did thru my speciality more than one year of general surgery and more tham one year on internal medicine dipartments.

Depends Where you get internships. They require often language before start, But if you can speak / communicate with them than its ok
