First example: It seems to me that the first step would have been to reduce the levels of the vocals, particularly the female track. That said, I understand that that this was not the point of the example.

Great video, Mike. I am a little miffed my friend :) I saw your video on the Sonible Smart Bundle. I've been looking for stuff like this for years (since I need as much help as I can get), so I purchased the Bundle. Now I find out, this would be better at a cheaper price. Thanks Mike, great video as always! I thought this was the perfect product for me as I am a beginner in the mixing process, I always use the presets on other products and don’t really understand them. However when I tried to buy this from Focusrite the cart gives me a message saying it is not available in my country (NZ). When I contacted them they said they were “working on it”. Seems odd, I wonder if anyone else has had this issue? Thanks again for your help.

It clips it sheer flat line style. Are there any clippers that kind of allow a slight dome/ roundness of the peaks rather than the total flat line?

Excellent video. The software is a good learning tool with it's visualizations. On the reverb part Wouldn't the postion be the same as the mix between dry and wet?

Interestingly, these plugins were created in collaboration with Sonible. Think 'Sonible Inside', so I believe thier algorithms were used for the Focusrite bundle. So there is just a different emphasis in design - with Focusrite taking a simplified approach, a little more suitable to beginners in my opinion. I will say, I really love the EQ here. I've been using on some mixes today, and it's so good, it feels like cheating! Sonibles Smart Comp 2 though - that sets a new bar, better than Fabfilter IMHO.

I think you really over simplified how to connect the Kick audio to the Fast Reveal plugin. After combing the Focusrite site I found what was needed in the Cakewalk documentation.

Sigh... unfortunately the Fast Reverb plugin (powered by Sonible) introduces horrible 'clicking' noises when I add it to a track (kind of sounds like clipping but the track is not clipping). No latency issues (per LatencyMon), plenty of PC power (Windows 10 Pro/Intel i9 @3.6GHz/80GB RAM/Samsung 2TB NVMe 970 EVO SSD/Intel UHD Graphics 630) and other Reverb plugins work fine. PLUS, I also have the Sonible Smart Bundle - and their smartReverb produces the exact same 'clicking' noise! Anyone else experience this? I have a support case open with Sonible and am awaiting their analysis of a sample I sent them.

My PC hard drive had to be changed and I lost my Cakewalk Adaptive Limiter. I have been trying to find an adaptive limiter, will this Focusrite FAST Limiter be a suitable substitute?
