Nice Trick another way I get my mixes louder is on my vocal aux (Verse, Adlibs, hook, doubles etc) i put a maxim on it & a EQ to make the vocals louder in the mix before I master i also route those Auxs to a aux called Final mix and i put the standard compressors & a eq to get the mix a lil bit more volume thats the trick i use to get my mixes sounding louder

I Use the limiter on my master fader about 75% of the way through and if it changes the mix too much ill mix a little more. otherwise it usually just makes the mix louder and fuller. I Appreciate the video!
@Candelamotivacion4 жыл бұрын
nate guerard quick question what’s the difference when you do it on the Read/write fader and manually bring it down ? Is this the same process or with a limiter it’s much easier ?

Aaayyyeee 🙌🙌🙏🙏 great video wavy wayne. After gain staging I also usually slap a limiter on a mix, at times I will even gain stage through a limiter & bypass back a forth to make sure everything is sitting at a good level ✌✌✌🙌

When it comes to limiters on the master bus, I tend to use it as a monitor here and there during the mixing. I don't leave it on, but I engage it to c what elements of the mix I can clean up. Then I check it again. I can't afford many plugins, so I have gotten alright utilizing what we have.

On point video as always bro, I'm still learning bra. Been watching KZbin videos for years now, and mixing on my own for at least 7 years, but it's been on and off.I got discouraged slot not being to get a clear crispy sound I wanted. It's wasn't until last year that I finally was about to get my eq skills a bit better,and compression, panning, doubling vocals tracks ,bussing tracks, that's I was able to produce some fairly decent mix's, in my opinion.But the more I learn from videos like yours bro MOTIVATE me to keep trying.Keep doing what you do bra. I have Pro Tools 8 and only use stock plugins,what do you think about these to song I mixed?

Thanks,Glad you like the music fam!!!!Well after I record,I put 2 eqs 1 desser,1 compressor/limiter Dyn 3 and 1bombfactory compressor stock plugins on the audio track.If I do a second take of the verse I will copy the track twice and pan them 85 left and right, and the second take up the middle with the main vocal.All of these tracks have the same plugins on them.After that then I bring In my master fader and put 1 maxim on there,1niose gate,1 compressor/limiter Dyn3,and bomb factory compressor.My eqs don't boost any thing,I am only using subtractive eqing.One eq may have low end in it, but another eq will not.Thats for the most part all I do.
@godswarrior2986 жыл бұрын
O yeah, I forgot that I do create 2 aux tracks,one has a stock stereo reverberated, and a stock stereo Delay. I bus both to one or 2 of my vocal tracks. I just add a little of the reverb and delay too push the vocals up front, and just a little more feeling.After all that, I bounce the track to a wave file and listen to it on my computer through my monitors, and my shure studio headphones then through my computer though my computer speakers, and then my phone with my Bluetooth headphones.I keep listening to it,and If I don't like what I hear, I go back to the mix and adjust what's necessary until I bounce a wave file I'm happy with. Some one else was telling me to send to everything in the track to one bus too help glue everything together. Thinking about using this in my next mix also.But that is what I do when I mix a track.
@godswarrior2986 жыл бұрын
A,,,You asked bra,lol,I couldn't think of a simpler way,so I opened up one of my pro tools sessions and call myself giving a quick run down which, became a little long.Sorry about that,I know it's a lot,but that's what I do.But like I said before,I will be making some changes after watching a few of wavyways videos.Wouldn't mind chopping it up bra,my email is godswarrior298@gmail.com
