Thank you so much for this info! Question: my fiancé and I want to get married on a specific day in order to celebrate our anniversaries on that date. Should this date be the day we sign our marriage license or the day of the ceremony at city hall?

The picking up of the license is nothing special. It's like going to the DMV. And you can pick it up from any county in CA, any time within 90 days of the wedding ceremony. The day you get married is when your anniversary is! 💖
