It’s really a personal choice , but due to our religion most of Moroccan women can’t travel and live with someone without being married , but if you get married in Morocco you can’t apply for a K1 visa because one of the documents K1 visa requires is a celibacy certificate which you get from Moroccan authorities. Nope everything I got from the US I brought it to Morocco as is , we provided those to our Lawyer and she took care of everything after that . Your fiancé can check offices that are closer to her and she can take the documents to get translated.

Are they certified in any way? I'm having trouble getting my birth certificate but I have a copy from before I was wondering if that would work. Thanks for the awesome video! @@fadyboueiz5474 Thank you 😊 It is not documented on the marriage certificate but you can’t complete the process without it . Not sure about the birth certificate since ours in Morocco do not include a religion since we can only practice one religion .

The ones from the consulate won’t need to be translated. Once the ticket was booked and I was about a week before my flight I sent all the documents to Maryam to translate them

Yea it’ll be enough as long as there’s no holidays in that time in Morocco and just follow our instructions in the video , having everything pre prepared ahead of time will save you a lot of time

I'm thinking a week before I have my embassy appointment??? Would that be sufficient??

Yes if you are not an American citizen papers are slightly different too I would recommend checking with the court at the city where your fiancé lives

The FBI summary needs a translation only you don’t need the intent to marry statement and no your fiancé doesn’t need to be at the consulate with you

@@2duckstravels i was questioned if my FBI check was original because there was they said there was no stamp or appostille on it. I tried to tell them this is how the FBI sends it. They told me its up to the judge. Would a lawyer or a bribe help me past this if the judge did not accept my fbi summary check?

I called the sheriffs department and they didn’t know how to help me with finger prints…so I fill out a form on the FBI website? I can’t find where the form is on the site. 😢 I also wanted to know if the criminal background portion is for my fiancé in morocco or if that’s what I need to do for myself? Please dont forget to subscribe to our channel. For the fingerprints, you can go to the Post Office to get them done. They will electronically send them in for you. You will need a background check for you, as Morocco will require one from the US and then another one from Morocco.
