Weird that your 8 has an open diff... I thought all NA MTs had an LSD, of some sort of another. Even my AT has an LSD.

How do you like those Kumho tires for drifting? I had some YEARS ago on a Golf MkII that stuck like glue for just every day driving.

Honestly I haven’t actually driven on them yet so I don’t have an opinion. I’m hoping they have some good grip for the front though! As soon as I get this thing on the road I’ll have a better idea!

Personally I don't think it made it feel abnormal, although I never drove the car prior to modding the knuckles. Because of the steering rack relocation and bumpsteer kit, I also have a few other factors that could make the steering feel different from factory. Thanks for watching! :)

An rx8 as standard has 50mm+ offset now that you have added 50mm of spacers you now have 0 offset, the downside of that is that you have thrown the s rub radius out the window along with the possibility of the steering self centering plus possible bump steer and huge load of the now decentralized front wheel bearing load, welding cast steel steering components is an illegal modification in any motorsports virtually world wide, but hey what would I know I have only got 50 years expirience as a mechanic and fabricator,

Welcome to drifting haha. I have been running cut and weld knuckles with 50mm spacers on my mk4 supra for over 10 years. Never had a problem with bearings or the knuckles breaking ... so you are overthinking this 😄

I have a RX8 with a whole lot more then 50MM added to the track width and no bump steer issues, no issues with self centering and hubs are just fine, just got to re-do the alignment on it and its just fine. Oh and no issues with the scrub radius. Tho I didn't cut and weld the stock knuckles Full custom front and rear.
