I have the physical copy but of metal gear hd collection, the game starts with the initial screen where you can choose between the three games, so far ok, when I press start to start the game nothing . Can i fix ?

Yep, that's how you do it, create US account, login both accounts and switch one account to download from that region store and switch account to play on that account for achievements etc.

Okay, checked for you because I forgot myself, this is a weird decision as to where they decided to hide it. You insert disc 2 > Select first option: Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater & press Press Start when instructed at menu > At that menu scroll down to Metal Gear or Metal Gear Solid 2 as desired. Hope that helps (hope you bought yours via my amazon link; I'm just kidding, although always welcomed 😅).

I have a question so do I need to buy an American region game of this in order to redeem the codes or does it not matter?

You need an North American region PSN account to redeem NA codes that this version of the game comes with, this is free to do and is only required to access NA codes and the NA store (some PSN games are store region exclusive), once you downloaded/installed the game you can switch back to your main account and play the alt region game, trophies an all 👌🏾

Oh...it should be available again digitally now and / otherwise any version in your region will work it's just that this version was a workaround for its removal due to legal footage issue that made it unavailable for digital purchase. There's also a new remastered version collection coming out too (as much as I'd love the amazon link love )

Hey there, I have a working Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection redeem code just like the one you have in your video, the code is still working as i checked it in the Playstation store website to see if code works, and it does, it is for Metal Gear Solid 1 and VR, but i didn't redeem code, what i want to know is, if i do redeem code, does both the digital game MGS1 and VR get linked to my playstation account, and than can i download the game through PS5 console and play both of them?

This PS3 collection is for PS3 only, it won't work / transfer to PS4/5 as far as I aware. The code if I remember rightly will have to be redeemed to your NA account which it will therefore be associated with but you'll be able to play it on your main account (whatever account you login to on that same machine that you install the game too) and gain any associated achievements etc on that active account. Yeah, it has nothing to do with PS4/5 as far as I'm aware, only other option otherwise is the new collection that's just release but apparently has it's own issues (unless Konami patch/patched it) without being able to mod them away on PC say...so you have to choose your poison so to speak.@@jglg7238

I found this on ebay for cheaper than amazon's price. Obviously used, but I'm wondering if I'll need to download a majority of the games from the PS Store or if i can install them from the disc. Is it just the two games that require a PS Store download/code or are most of the games only available through the store? (Like 4 being the only game available when you pop it in) Thank you 🙏🏻

I think it was only the classic game(s) that were downloads. That or they ran on the disc, so this one was a while ago and off the cuff so I didn't even expect so many queries when I first created it otherwise I would have done a much better job for you guys

Your demand shows much GUTS, but yes, despite me not running it specifically, at 2:07 it shows all games will run including 3, the download codes will require a US account to dload (you can switch back afterwards) but the rest run off the disc ✊ (you can get the game from my amazon affiliate link if you haven't already got it)

Just to reiterate, EVERY game works in this collection via this guide shown above, just have to do the US account trick shown in this video for MGS 1 and VR missions (and I specifically ran MGS3 just now to confirm just for you, not only does it work perfect but includes the orignal MGS 8/16bit classics 1 and 2 in the menu that also work perfect! 👌😀)

I'm not sure what you mean or which game but everyone gets the same thing so how you start is the same way for everyone, start, X or 0 (or try pressing everything else) or try another controller, sorry if I'm misunderstanding but I don't recall having this problem to help you out 😅

Yes! And you'll be able to play on your normal account once you've downloaded and installed whatever game is region restricted (so achievements etc on your main account too!), hope that helps (and try to pick an US location with low / no tax rate so you don't pay extra ), bless

From what I understand, codes have to pretty much always work unless they have an expire date. I have bought games on PSN past that date without issue so I would assume you'll be fine, worse comes to worse since it's Amazon, provided you don't have a habit or returning things too often you'd be easily able to return it due to the code not functioning I'd guess to but I'd say you'll been fine (this was a link to a sealed copy of the game too). I think however check also if it is not back on sale digitally again too first (even that means no affiliate rev for me, assuming there's still stock ) because I think they fixed the issue with licensing now unless I'm wrong, hope that helps Jan!

It's sealed if it's the same one on Amazon www.the1nteger.tv/AmazonMGSLegacy but if otherwise it's a manual, leaflet with a code for MGS and VR missions (so secondhand won't really cut it) and 2 disks. Hope that helps! (PS Price is silly right now though on my checking of the link so if you find that to be the case, see if you can find a better price or new copy on ebay, I believe Konami fixed the licensing issue plaguing the digital version on the PSN store now however, so check there first if you don't need a physical copy).

Yes, 1 and 2 is included worked for me (I believe they are the MSX versions which is the same thing if not identical for the most part), seems also that konami has almost fixed the licensing issue too so the digital versions may be back soon (not sure if they'll still have original historical footage that's causing the issues) 👍🏾 P.S. also Columbo is dope 👮‍♂️

I'm not sure what's not loading for you but make sure you are doing the code stuff on a USA ACCOUNT (including downloading / installing) then you can switch to your country account after and it should work (unless Konami / Sony change something since the recording of this video, although I have not known these kind of codes to have expires even on other systems).

bro i have been playing mgs for twenty years the problem is in the hd collection. everything works correctly the menu with the three games starts, I press on the game the theme song starts when it comes out press start to start playing nothing happens and the theme song starts again in all three games. if instead I put guns of the patriot it starts without problems. the game arrived today from amazon I hope you can help me . Anything you buy via PSN ps3 (aka not visible on the PSN website) will only play on the ps3 as the ps4 is NOT backwards compatible (including ps3 discs) due to Sony outdoing themselves on copy protection while shooting themselves in the foot 🤦🏾‍♂️

@@theghost7484 Ahhhhhh...yes, you'll need a US account to activate the codes since the amazon purchase is an import (it's easy to create a US account and you can switch back to your normal account once the game is downloaded and installed). I don't have a tutorial on how to do that yet (maybe that's a video I'll do), but a quick google / favourite search engine 'search' will be help you there easily 👍

The digital code that comes with Legacy is only for MGS1 and VR Missions; and it doesn't work anyway. There is no code for digital formats of MGS2 or 3 in Legacy. You might as well buy the HD collection.

Yes...you can always steal sh*t obviously, but that is more technical and / or some people don't want to do that sh*t for various reasons so here's a 'right stroke legalish' way (or they can just buy the new collection and mod it too), otherwise though, yes, plenty of options
