Midnight Blue is a beautiful shrub rose bred by Tom Carruth in 2004. Flowers are purple or rather deep purple in color and darkens as it ages. Midnight blue rose has a unique spicy fragrance like clove. Mignight Blue rose blooms in bunches and brings in color to the garden. Mignight Blue rose grows well in tropical southern Indian climate, full sun is ideal. Midnight Blue Rose has petals around 17-25 and flower size would be around 2.5 - 2.75 inch across.
There are few roses similar to Midnight blue with minor differences. Diamond Eyes and Ebb Tide look alike Midnight Blue rose. Deadhead old flowers to encourage new blooms. Follow a good fertilizing and pesticide program.
