How to get multiple column values in next cells in pivot table | Excel Pivot Traditional Design

A pivot table is a summary of your data,that lets you report on and explore trends based on your data.
Pivot tables are particularly useful if you have long rows or columns that hold values you need to track the
sums of and easily compare to one another data points.
In simpler words, pivot tables extract meaning from that seemingly endless jumble of numbers on your screen.
And more specifically, it lets you group your data together in different ways so you can draw helpful conclusions
more easily.
The "pivot" part of a pivot table stems from the fact that you can rotate (or pivot) the data in the table
in order to view it from a different perspective.
To be clear, you're not adding to, subtracting from, or otherwise changing your data when you make a pivot.
Instead, you're simply reorganizing the data so you can reveal useful information from it.
A Pivot Table is one of the basic data analysis tools.
Pivot Tables can quickly answer many important business questions.
One of the reasons we use Pivot Tables is to pass information.
Although Pivot Tables are only tables and thus missing real visuals, they can still be considered as a mean
of Visual Storytelling.
A Pivot Table is used to summarize, sort, reorganize, group, count, total or average data stored in a table. It allows us to transform columns into rows and rows into columns. It allows grouping by any field (column), and using advanced calculations on them.
A simpler explanation of a pivot table can be something like this-
a) group items/records/rows into categories
b) count the number of items in each category,
c) sum the items value or compute average, find minimal or maximal value etc.

hi! it's literally a video that I've been looking for to solve my problem! there's also few thing I want to know about pivot table 1. how to make pivot table shows the category (colomn) that has no value. let me tell you the example. there's a variable X category named 1, 2, 3, 4, and I wanna show this as the column. there are 10 data on category 1, 13 data on category 2, 0 data on category 3, and 19 data on category 4. I tried to make column based on the category, but category 3 is missing (automatically, since it has 0 value). so how can I show that category 3 on the colomn? 2. for example, we code "available" as 1, and then "not available" as 0. If we were asked to show the data of "available" we can do it by -sum of. but my second question is how should it be done if we were asked to show how many "not available" value, since we cant do -sum of, or -count of (cuz it will count the entire data)?? I tried to do -countif but pretty sure that did it in the wrong way because I didn't get the thing I want. thank you, I really appreciate it if you could help me 🙏🏼

This video was extremely helpful especially adding new columns with classic pivot table option. Can you advise if we have dates, how do we show the exact dates under each row. When I drag them under column, they change to count. Tried to change the format to date format but it somehow changes the data.

If you have dates, you can put dates either in rows or column and the then select the range and change the format as date then it will not show as count(actually when you drag dates in column, it is not showing you count, it is dates but in number format, you just have to change the format). Can a column be added showing percentages if it came from a total that was derived from two columns added together? For example the table is divided into males and females. There is a total of both and then you need a separate column to display what percentage of the grand total is that male/female total column. Is that possible and if so how can it be done?
