Totally! Including: Kids are out of school but don’t have the discipline to keep the lawn consistent Families go on vacation Folks want landscaping / mulch for grad partys, People want back yard patios for summer grilling Repair/warranty work for patios, cleanings, sealings, etc. Summer marketing is SO slept on by so many!

I don’t think postcards do as well in my area. We get a ridiculous amount of postcard mailers, they go right in the trash. My biggest bang for the buck is simple yard signs. Especially for picking up business in the area I have them. Folks drive by those signs over and over. Not like a postcard where they see it once and might throw it away thinking they don’t need it. My signs are there for a couple months. They keep driving by them. They keep seeing me and my work.

Best way to do EDDM is to find a house you already service in a neighborhood you want to do more in and pick that postal route for you eddm. Be sure there isn't a lot of apartments on that route.

If you don’t have the systems and employees in place growing your business “pouring gasoline on the fire” will cause you to piss off a bunch of customers and lose business and destroy your reputation. Good video just wanted to add that. Have a good one Brian!

so was always told close ratio should be about 60-70% if you're winning every job, raise your prices. door to door, you've got a 70% chance theyre going to say YES - simply because people have a hard time saying "No" Door hangers are a great way to get people to... think.. about calling you, the numbers you spoke, dont lie

Hey, I Bought your Zero to $100K book. I like the way you laid out the book. Very easy reading!!! FYI: Amazon sent it to me all bent up. I was going to have them replace it but I started reading it so I'll probably have it polished off tomorrow. I had my own business back in the 80's but left it for Engineering. My son wants to start his own landscaping business so we are following you closely. Thanks for sharing, and love the book!!!

Use a trusted firm to help you register an LLC. We use Corporate Direct out of Arizona, Garret Suttons folks. Start there!

I put up some yard signs and wasn’t up for 10 hours and 3 went missing. What would you do if your signs keep coming up missing?
@jamesnight87515 ай бұрын
They're going to go missing. It's just a fact. They're called bandit signs for a reason. But here's some tips I've picked up along the way. Find strategic places to put them. I put mine in front of bank drive thru's. Did that and about 4 other business signs popped up next to mine. 😂 Try to time when and where you place them. HOA members and city workers will pull them. Try to avoid medians where they have to mow. Those workers have the weekends off, so put them on a Thursday or Friday and try to retrieve them on Sunday afternoon. If that doesnt work just remember your ideal clients all go to the same grocery stores and gas stations. Try putting them there too. Lastly, If you have one out a week or more it's a spot worth putting a new one when it's gone. I think they're still worth buying. Always keep the flow going and you'll do fine!
@BriansLawnMaintenance5 ай бұрын
Haha yeah we’ve all been there. Put them up at 3pm on a Friday. Usually you’ll at least get the weekend out of them!
