Really interesting to hear the crazy process to get those insta followers and a clothing line with miss pap, been a long time follower since season 1 and its amazing to see the growth of love island as a brand (as its now a fully fledged brand isn't it.) However, I do have a few questions.If someone is scouted would they still need to go through the whole process of screen tests etc, i cant see someone such as dani dyer going through the hassle of screen testing if she was hand picked but then she was on an ITV show before that so maybe not? Also, as someone who has been on the show what are your views on the diversity issue? Do you really think they are looking for a certain "basic white person" or a "token black girl" or do you think it just comes down to more white people applied in general, do u think black people have less chance of being on the show ? Hope this makes sense, Great channel!

More great content and the only comprehensive application video I don’t believe any other former Islander could’ve done better, that puts into perspective how difficult it is to get on there. I submitted my application last month, and I feel like I covered most of the stuff you discussed here. A Question I do have, in regards to the medical, not in the sense of STI’s but just cold sores on lips, it’s very common and most people around the world get cold sores on their lips, if this is the case, would it stop you from getting on the show? Some people get a huge out break as a child and never get them again? Just curious. Thanks

Hi Chris I know that you're really into a lot of mating science now so I'm curious about your thoughts on your statement that: "they usually don't cast anyone over the age of 32." Why do you these types of shows set the upper age limit to 32? Even here in the U.S.A our dating shows like "The Bachelor" also cast people under 35 years old. Do you think this is because our Western culture worships youth? But I was looking at the data and over 60% of the audiences for those type of show are women over 40. Why would women over 40 want to watch a romantic show about young people? Why not want a show with people their own age?

Would probably depend on how you sell it... If you tell them: well there never was the right person and I don't just want to do it with anyone and who knows if I will ever do it... Then probably they don't want you. But if you tell them: I'm fed up with virginity, I want to get my sex life going, I just need somebody nice, I'm ready... Then they will be thrilled to tell the story about your first time on the show and hope it'll happen.

Speaking as a scientist ( cos it’s Science!!! ) I might observe, from the pre car steeling escapade, guy is acting in a way that could be correlated with the type of characteristics often associated with Bi-Polar disorder. The palpable contrast in the before and after pics of the perp could act to strengthen this hypothesis. In the post sentencing photo he looks v depressed - who wouldn’t - and that alone is meaningless. However when contrasted together the before and after images of the guy are so extremely different one might say he committed this totally mad scheme during a manic phase - the sheer incoherence of the plan being complex and grandiose is another sign of hypomania. Wonder if this dude’s defense request a case review on the grounds of diminished responsibility due to being of unsound mind? Anyway, what do you think. P de H x
