Girlfriends I get over in a month, 4 at the most. But it’s different when it’s a wife with kids. Didn’t just lose the identity of a husband but also the family home… coming back home to my little girls. Got 50/50 custody but still not everyday I come home to them. That’s the part that gets tough. I think I’m over the woman, she’s just ordinary and I know I can do way better but it’s the family etc. I did suffer for a whole year like for real started from nothing. New career where I’m thriving, just got a raise and now a new promotion so things are looking bright for me. I’m still failing at staying focused at times but it’s fine. I’m getting my shit together, slowly but steady. My girls adore me and look up to me. Baby momma is annoying but it is what it is. The better I do the more she gives me BS. It’s beginning to look a lot like I told you so lol.

Shaun this strikes deep with me. My ex of two years left me basically out of the blue because she met a guy she liked at work. We lived together for a year and a half. Things were going well, we planned our future together, had pets, had friends and couples over at our place on weekends, our families met. All the usual serious stuff. Around the time when she got her new job she started acting differently towards me. I ignored it at first but then started to get real suspicious. I don’t trust these women Shaun, they’ll say one thing and do another. Next thing I knew I got the “we need to talk” line. She was honest enough to say we needed to break up and that she tried to change her feelings but she wasn’t honest enough to give me all of the details why. I had to piece things together after the fact. All her behavior and things she said started making sense once I figured out she met another guy. The final proof was the fact that she actually brought the guy over, that was her admission of guilt, and still at that time she had my mind so twisted and confused that I thought she was doing that to push me away. But that was her way of telling me she had met another guy. She hid all of that not only to protect my feelings but I’m guessing to remove accountability and guilt from herself as she felt really bad for not staying loyal. At first she gave me the typical BS reasons like “I need to focus on me” and “it’s just not working anymore.” AKA be able to go and be with other guys. She even said I was a great boyfriend and that she was a bitch but still I took it hard and took a lot of the blame not realizing her part in all of this. It took multiple years of healing and realizing that the problem was her and not me, she tried to hide so much knowledge from me, I would’ve respected it more if she just told me the straight up truth. Her trying to cover things up caused a lot of confusion and miscommunication. Had I known what I know now I would’ve reacted differently but I take it as a learning experience. Sometimes we get made out to be the bad guy when we did mostly everything right and the problem all along was them. She even said that I should make sure that my next girlfriend isn’t a bitch. It’s a sad story as we said we were in love with each other and I’ll never fully understand what really went on but I’m ready to leave it in the past and move on for good. Thanks for reading brother Shaun.

@AndlOtd763 It's hard because you loved her. When a man loves, he loves. Please don't blame yourself for it. She made a choice (using her agency - like we all have). You're human. DON'T TRY TO UNDERSTAND OR ANALYSE WHY SHE DID IT BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE WORKINGS OF ANOTHER PERSON'S MIND. That's why even torture in war has a low success rate. It's hard to extricate information from someone's mind. As you said, you'll use the experience as a lesson, and I am sure you'll be a vessel of sage wisdom to someone else because it is no longer textbook or movie stuff for you. You've been through it. I'm telling you., as Shaun and others said., "ACCEPT the reality. You popped into this world alone, and you go alone. We were created with healing capabilities- physically and mentally. You will heal from this. Start working on some of the recommendations Shaun has, and soon, one day, you'll realise a day has gone by without you thinking about her, then a week, months, etc. You become indifferent but not negatively or evilly because you've evolved, and it won't be for her, but for you - it'll be a new state of being for you, not vengeance towards her. When you get to that level of development, you will see her as someone else - like any other people you see on the street. Of course, as a human being, you will still have an "attachment" because the brain doesn't forget that you once knew her deeply. Still, no emotions of love are invoked - if that didn't happen, that would mean some element of cognitive dissonance, albeit small - else you wouldn't be human (it's the same as bumping into that junior school girl who thought you would marry 😂), but it does mean you want to get back with your ex. It's just biology, so it's not a surprise you'd feel a certain way [as Shaun would put it] Bro, you're your own man and focus on bettering that man, but WiTHOUT the intention of getting her back. It's about you and you alone. I can tell you if you apply the principle Shaun articulated here, you'll come out as a better and more evolved human. I am not sure how old you are. Still, if you ever watched the first 3 Matrix movies, I think in Reloaded, there's a part where Neo got trapped in the train station. He would traverse to one end (believing it was an exit route only to find out the exit route was an inescapable one that brought him back to the same spot he had started from). So he was trapped. It's like those complex cyclic dependencies in software engineering that are hard to resolve, but through a stepwise approach, you'll eventually fix the dependence of the code. I'm trying to get you to see that even a ball of rubber bands can be dismantled if you're patient and kind to yourself. She left you. There is nothing much you can do about that, and as Shaun advised, listen to R. Kelly's song. In the lyrics, he even says, "Listen to these words as the record plays." [paraphrasing] We're here for you, bro, and you'll look back and realise it happened for a reason(Shaun has another video on that, too - that everything happens for a reason). It's painful, but you'll look back (if you put in the work to self-improve) and realise it was a blessing. And to my man Shaun, I'm praying for your channel to keep growing, and I believe it will. Peace ✌️

Best channel ever, forget no contact and kill your hope. Thanks to my heartbreak, I discovered and found comfort in philosophy, Stoicism, Taoism, and Zen. I realised am not my body, brain or mind, those are just my experience in this lifetime that build up my Ego... meditating i am watching them, and I regain control over them. As you said in the video, just reading a book won't work, keep notes, go back to it daily, it has to become a mantra that you embody in everyday life and situation. Sharing my experience with you all, i hope guides someone to the right path. Thanks again Shaun, you help me so much during my darkest hours.

Experienced this pain a few months back to a similar situation. Wanted this girl so badly who I was friends with, but kept friendzoning me with hopes of one day. Then tells me that one day she found someone else she's interested in. That hurt like mf. But key is don't be attached to anyone, be attached to yourself and core values. Thanks for the ongoing advice Shaun.

great video bro. I broke it off with her after she started to disrespect me in many ways, and quite frankly I've been sipping for too long, doing whatever she wanted. The last few months of the relationship, I could see that shit through and even when I did make an attempt at changing it, she wouldnt budge. she would hit me with the "I deserve it". fuck that. I was mentally drained. after 4 years, I let her go & feeling purposeful and on my grind. Learnt my mistakes, and will continue to strive, and be a man. After all, turning 25 and a lot of the shit I used to put up with, I can't stand no more. Onwards and upwards. Ive been consistent with gym with her, but now its a different kind of level while im also on retention. 19 days straight of working out, good food and quality rest. lets go boys, whoever is dealing with a break up, pray to God & be spiritual, and get your ass active. We are man, we have to overcome & solve ourselves.

For the first time in almost a year, i feel some peace. I was still attached, i begged, cried, tried doing the no contact. And we live together. She prinly thought i was crazy, unstable. Shit i was unstable. Now, if she wanna go, then go. I went within, saw some shit i need to work on. I got a plan now. Sticking to it. I tripled my income since this betrayal happened. My daughters feel safer around me now, the outcome isnt my end all be all. Nah. My manhood is my end all be all.

What I've learned more and more is that it's better to be angry than desperate. An art of gentle anger, not a destructive one. The anger at yourself for being so stupid, the anger at the person who broke up because with their arogance they believed they had done everything right in the relationship. Anger in silence, not in action or words. Not an aggressive beast, but a controlled beast. This power can be channeled into productivity. Anyone can get angry, that's easy. But being angry at the right person, to the right extent, at the right time, for the right purpose and in the right way, that's hard. -Aristotle "Anger makes more sense than despair" -The Terminator

It’s about taking ownership of your faults and what you really bring to the relationship. Beautiful women, as cold. as they may be are like delicate flowers. Be nurturing and enjoy their beauty while you take care of them. Trust me. I understand it’s a two way street but they need to feel loved. It’s that simple. Love your woman Fellas
