Waooooo there’s so many different kinds of SMC and the letters that are attached to it, meaning from the charts . I remember asking the VA and they ignored me and the person I was talking to changed the subject quick. There’s more I wanted to talk about about on here but my memory issues won’t allow me . 😞

While I don't have 100% on any of my individual conditions, I do have a maximum rating at 60% and a 50% on another, will those qualify?

Good question. There's a lot to unpack in that question, like what the disability is, if you're unemployable, what kind of help ADL's is needed, what other disabilities could be claimed as secondaries, what unclaimed direct SC conditions can be claimed? Utilizing a free attorney consult would definitely be worth your time - IMO.

If you are entitled to it and it hasn't been granted, you are going to have to file a new claim, appeal or CUE depending on the facts

Hmm…so what if I get a 100% out the gate. There is no opportunity to receive the additional ratings. And the way I understand it, you can’t get paid greater than 100% (roughly $3600) by stacking additional claims and ratings. Just trying to understand the SMC stuff. APTTMHY

SMC pays above the 100% rate. You can apply for SMC such as Aid and Attendance after you receive the 100% rating.

Let me know if there is something I can clear up in the video. Some SMC is inferred once you reach certain ratings, as explained in the 100 plus 60 rule.
